After thinking about breast augmentation for 15 years, extensively researching the procedure for 2 of those years and consulting with various plastic surgeons for months I was disheartened that not once had I ever felt a connection with any of them. In fact I felt all of them merly wanted to cut me open and hand over a check. Being in the health care industry I know first hand what it means to want to connect and feel safe with a doctor. When I walked into Dr. Engler's office I immediately felt sense of calm that I had not experienced with ANY OTHER surgeon I consulted with. His staff were knowledgeable, kind and compassionate to my fears and the mounds of questions I had. Not once did Dr. Engler or his staff ever make me feel as though I was a burden.

After my first consultation with Dr. Engler I was 100% confident that my body would be "safe" in his hands. I knew he was genuinely invested in my health and concerns about my body. .During my initial visit with we discussed the reasoning behind my wanting breast augmentation along with the various types of implants and procedures available to me. I had to pinch myself because I couldn't believe I was sitting across from a surgeon who was actually listening to my concerns and discussing what would or wouldn't be best for me. This man actually cared!! Together we discussed what the best option would be based on my particular body shape and size. By the end of the visit I knew I could trust him and set up my surgery immediately.

At his suggestion, I would undergo periareolar ( nipple) incisions which I am still ecstatic about . After waking up from my procedure I was able to walk out of the office comfortably. I had no side effects or complications. I even had sensation in my nipples the first night! There was absolutely no pain, discomfort or bruising. I was given prescriptions to manage any pain, but never wound up using them.

Dr. Engler is a phenomenally skillful doctor, but beyond that he truly is a spectacular individual. If you are are thinking about undergoing plastic surgery or augmentation Dr. Engler is beyond a doubt the absolute best doctor in NYC. He showed me that there are doctors out there who still believe in the Hippocratic Oath and that finding peace with my body was attainable. Thank you Dr. Engler. I will forever be grateful to you for helping me finally be able to love my body.

I live almost two hours outside NYC. Over this past summer, I began to seriously contemplate getting a breast augmentation, something that I had thought about for a long time. I am a college student and still live at home with my mom and we discussed it together and both agreed that it was something that could boost my self-esteem greatly. I almost felt like less of a women because I had such small breasts. They were both different sized and because they were so small, they difference between the two was more noticeable. My mom and I researched various doctors in the Northeast and we scheduled a few consultations. Because I was coming in from out of town and had very specific requirements for the timing of the surgery, scheduling was tricky but everyone in the office was very helpful. Bottom line, Dr. Engler’s staff is not only accommodating, but they are also some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered.



Now to Dr. Engler…he was so nice and professional. For my consultation he discussed my options, answered all my questions, was up front and honest and made me feel 100% comfortable. I saw him for my consultation, the day before my surgery, obviously the day of my surgery, the week after, three weeks after and will be seeing him 3 months after and yearly for life. All of these visits are included with the surgery fee. I enjoy seeing him every time and my results get better everyday. It has been almost 6 weeks my scars are healing around my nipple, the implants are dropping and softening, and I feel absolutely incredible all the time. I was able to recover enough in just one week to be able to go to class and begin schoolwork. He is worth the trip to NYC without a doubt and is very reasonably priced considering he is such an incredible doctor. With the horror stories of plastic surgery, you have to chose the right doctor and his price is all inclusive; one time payment and you see him for all the immediate post-op visits and yearly for check-ups. Not only was getting implants one of the best decisions of my life, but choosing Dr. Engler was an even better choice.

Pre Surgery Hi Everyone, prior to my surgery I was a little skeptical about it because it was my first time going under the knife!! But getting a breast augmentation was something I've wanted to do since I was in high school. I have always been very self conscious about my breast being small. I never felt comfortable in certain bathing suits, shirts or dresses. As I got older it became worse. I tried working out to keep my body in shape and thought it would make me feel better but even though I got in the best shape of my life I still didn't feel sexy I felt like no matter what I did there something was missing. I was constantly buying new push up bras and even buying sports bras with padding. When I heard about Dr. Engler and his work I decided to do a consultation. During the consultation I could tell he was very compassionate about his work. He answered each and every question and explained the procedure thoroughly. He did not pressure me at all and also did not rush me into making any decisions on the spot. He was very caring and understanding. The members of his staff were all kind and warmhearted.

Post Surgery!!

During the recovery Dr. Engler contacted me everyday until it was time for my first visit back. He made sure I was recovering well and that I was following the recovery procedures. After about a month or so I was finally able to enjoy my results!! I was extremely ecstatic. I felt sexy, beautiful and most importantly I felt my self-esteem had sky rocketed. I was able to wear the bathing suits, shirts and dresses that I never felt comfortable wearing. I said BYE to push up bras and padding!!! My boyfriend and family were all happy for me and they noticed the change in my confidence and self esteem as well :)

Dr. Engler is an amazing Doctor. He is passionate and devoted about his work. I will most certainly recommend him to my family & friends and to anyone who reads this!!

I went to Dr. Engler to for two scar revision surgeries. I had some very thick scars that were raised and red , a result of past traumatic injuries. I researched online to see what my options are, and I came upon Dr. Engler after researching online and reading other patients’ reviews for some scar revision surgeries he had performed. So I decided to book a consultation and had the surgeries done.



Here’s what I loved about the place: (i) the environment there- every person in his office is just so extremely friendly, welcoming and most importantly, caring. You really get a sense of their concern and respect for you as a patient. No arrogance or attitude that I’ve encountered at some other places. They take their time to engage you and answer your questions. (ii) I felt very safe and reassured with Dr. Engler. This is a combination of how genuine and honest he is, how he talks and interacts with you, and his concern for what you as the patient wants. He possesses one of the best bedside manners I have ever countered period. (iii) RESULTS. I am sooo happy with how my surgeries turned out- my scars are flat and there is a significant reduction in size and redness. I no longer feel the need to cover up my scars.

I know I didn’t get major plastic surgery, but for me, those scars were a reminder of a traumatic past and helping me physically transform them helped me feel good about myself. After all, isn’t that what it is about? Feeling good about yourself? So if you want to do something about that, I highly recommend Dr. Engler. Sure, you could go to someone whose technique is as good as Dr. Engler, but for the money you would be spending, why not go to a place that offers it all? I would suggest for anyone considering some sort of plastic surgery to book an appointment with Dr. Engler. I promise that even only after having an initial consultation, you will come away feeling good about him.

Thanks for referring me a surgeon in my area

I wrote and got a response from you through one of the online advice sites back in 2004 asking for your expert opinion on a specific procedure. As I could not travel to New York you recommended a plastic surgeon in my area. It was this recommendation that helped change and reclaim my life and salvaged my self-esteem from a bad surgical procedure I had many years ago. I only recently was able to have the procedure done and am in initial weeks post-op, but I feel like I just found myself again - you don't know how painful it has been to be living with my previous situation, and how grateful I am for finding the right surgeon this time, with your help.

I've always had a small chest and as much as I hoped and prayed, they never grew. After one of my best friends showed me her new breasts, I was convinced that I had to do this. She told me about Dr. E and I immediatly scheduled my consultation. His staff is nothing less than amazing. They made me feel welcome from my first phone call. They take the time out to get to know you and make you feel comfortable. The consultation went very well; Dr. E took the time out to get to know me, what I wanted and what my concerns were. He is kind, warm and told me his professional opinion versus someone telling me what I wanted to hear. One of my concerns were if I am going to be able to breastfeed while having breast implants. Dr. E told me it is very much possible and I have more of a chance of the baby not latching on then having a problem with the implants. I must've asked a hundred questions and Dr. Engler put my mind at ease with every answer. He is very knowledgable and I felt an instant connection and knew I could trust him to do this surgery for me. My surgery went great!I could not be happier with my new breasts. They are absolutely perfect in size and shape. Dr. Engler really knows his stuff! The after surgery care was also great. Dr. E called me a few times a day to check up on me and I was always able to get in touch with him also. I think the only issue I'm having now is that food falls in this nice space I now have in between my breasts, where before that never happened. But I'll take it!

I highly recommend Dr. Engler as a plastic surgeon!

I came to Dr. Engler upon a friend’s recommendation when I was

searching for a doctor to perform a tummy tuck. After my initial

consultation, it was certain that I would look no further. Dr.

Engler’s high expertise and professionalism were evident from the

first moments. His consultation was informative, constructive, and

honest. From the first visit, I knew that I would be in good hands.

The office is highly efficient and the staff is helpful, supportive,

and friendly. I have always received their attention and immediate

assistance when I needed it.

My surgery was a long-needed healthy change for my body, and my

experience with Dr. Engler has helped me achieve this change in a

positive, constructive and encouraging way. The result of the surgery

is phenomenal and is expected to gradually become even better.

Dr. Engler’s vibrant energy and positive attitude have brought a great

Almost every woman who has undergone a breast reduction raves that it’s the best thing she’s ever done. I wholeheartedly agree and will add that every woman seeking this surgery must go to Dr. Engler. Finding the right surgeon felt like a tall task when I first began my search. I scoured the Internet looking at pre and post op photos and spent time cross-referencing them with their respective surgeons and different techniques. After meeting with a few and narrowing down my list, Dr. E was as the obvious choice. It was sort of like selecting where to go to college or deciding between jobs because I was looking for something beyond what you can see on paper. I wanted my gut feeling to tell me “definitely yes”. Dr. Engler is warm, professional, fun to be around, and (most importantly) an absolute master in his field. I remember leaving his office after my consultation and texting my mom, “he’s THA best,” and I hadn’t even had the surgery yet. I was impressed that he listened to me and addressed my questions, fears, concerns, hopes, and dreams. He explained the procedure in detail and involved me in a real dialogue (where others had thrown out ambiguous terms and numbers at me without explanation … and then left an office assistant to deal with me.) Dr. E approaches surgery as an art form and what made me so happy was that his recommendation was unique to me and my proportions and shape, while also taking into account my notions about the way I’d like to look post op. He has the perfect balance of warmth and respect that in turn gave me complete confidence in the surgery. Afterwards, Dr. E called to check up on me twice a day for the first couple of days… a nice added touch. There is no end to my love for this office and the surgery is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made—I couldn’t be happier.

I had been considering breast augmentation on and off for many years

but only felt comfortable going through with the procedure when I met

Dr Engler and his staff. I am a very nervous patient but as soon as I

was at Dr Engler's office I felt totally relaxed and at home. My

initial consultation was very helpful. I knew that I wanted a natural,

small implant to improve shape not increase size dramatically. I am

fairly small and slim so I would not personally be comfortable with

large breasts. Dr Engler totally understood what I was hoping to

achieve and clarified all the details, making me feel calm and

confident about going ahead with the procedure without feeling under

any pressure. I went home and took some time to think about it but I

knew that Dr Engler was the man for the job.

Once I made my final decision and called to book a surgery date the

staff were amazing and beyond helpful. Although I was very nervous on

the morning of the surgery, as soon as I got to the office I was

immediately put at ease by Arlene, Dr Engler's fabulous receptionist

who somehow calmed my nerves. Dr Engler talked me through what he was

going to do, again making sure I was feeling confident, informed and

relaxed. I am also particularly nervous about anesthetic but the

anaesthesiologist was also great and talked me through everything very

thoroughly.

I woke up feeling groggy but calm! All the staff were checking on me

and being fantastic. My recovery was very easy and practically pain

free. Dr Engler rang me every day for the first week post-surgery to

make sure everything was ok, he is such a kind and attentive Doctor.

A week after the procedure I went back to Dr Engler to have my

dressing removed. My new breasts already looked so good after just one

week! Once again Dr Engler and all his staff made me feel like I was

with friends! I left feeling confident and so pleased with my results.

One month after surgery I am already so happy with my results, Dr

Engler was able to achieve exactly what I wanted. The whole experience

could not have gone any smoother. I had rhinoplasty a few years ago in

Los Angeles with another surgeon and honestly Dr Engler and his team

were infinitely superior, I would definitely recommend him to anyone

considering surgery.

I first met Dr. Engler when I was 19 years old, right after giving birth to my first child. Any one who has given birth knows that childbearing is not kind to your breasts. That being said I decided to have a breast augmentation. After seeing Dr. Engler on the Ricki Lake show I knew I had to meet him. I was not disappointed at all. This man is awesome! Besides his one of a kind bedside manner, he was extremely professional, listened to my concerns and  together we came up with a plan to address them. I love that he operates right there in his office which makes the whole experience very convenient, and as a patient much more comfortable than going to a hospital.

Ten years and three kids later, my body has changed and so have my concerns. Based on my initial surgical experience I would have returned to him anyway but after referring multiple women to him over the years, we all agree that his work is phenomenal. So back to Dr. Engler I went. He remembered me immediately, and we joked and laughed as if we were close friends. You can't put a price on a Doctor like that.

   Elective cosmetic surgery can be a scary thing to decide to do but not with Dr. E. From consultation to recovery he and his staff were there to make sure I was completely informed, as well as taken care of before, during and after my procedures. Most importantly, the results are - once again, and ten years later - amazing and I couldn't be happier!

So, if you are considering having some work done look no further. I guarantee once you sit down for a consultation with him, you will feel completely at ease and ready to take the next step towards a more beautiful you!
