Let me preface this with the fact that I passed my road test with only 8.5 hours of driving lessons with Reggie. I had no experience in a car, and got my learner’s permit 5 years ago. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck – and there I was learning to drive in the city. With GPDS, I got a crash course in city driving, making driving everywhere else a piece of cake. People forget that instructors are professionally certified. They’re licensed to teach and know what they’re doing. It’s just a matter of one’s willingness to learn. Some of the reviews that are posted are clearly from people miserably riddled with complaints, and don’t understand the concept of LEARNING how to drive. “Multitask,” he says as he proceeds to talk about food as I drive up Third Avenue. Reggie provided me with both intuitive instruction and actual - normal driving conditions (because it’s impractical to think that driving is something you do alone, with no interaction with anyone or anything around you). Therefore multitasking is crucial. Now I’m comfortable in a car, even with a bus on the right side and a big truck on the left. I’m surprised I’m confident enough to get on a highway, and I parallel park like a pro (Reggie and his freaking triangle lol). The office staff is nothing but professional, and always calls ahead to notify you of any changes. If you’re looking for a driving school well worth the money, GPDS is it. They’re not about glitz and glam nor babying their students. They’re about getting you to pass, the FIRST time around.

Pros: Intuitive Instructors, Professional Office Staff

Cons: It's hard to schedule/reschedule lessons because there are so many students.

Excellent school. Firm but very fair. Both combined test preparation and general road safety in an exceptionally effective manner. I studied and took lessons intensively for one month. I did not only passed the written and practical test but more importantly became a safe and confident driver. Driving is an important skill to master and I would wholeheartedly recommend Grand Prix Driving School. Thank you so much to my instructor and to the office staff. Keep up the good work.
