Store Manager Suzanne Johnson Does Not Care! – This store had gone down the drain. I've been shopping here with my mom since I'm a kid. Aside from firing all the employees from the cosmetic department, they have fired longtime professional employees and hired inexperienced associates who don't care, have made mistakes and have been flat our rude. I've complained to the store manager on numerous occasions but she never responds.
The former employees told me that they are instructed to never speak or acknowledge her when they see her. WTF! She must be having an affair with the CEO- Steve Sadove to be able to behave like that!
The Bottom of the Barrel – All sales persons in the cosmetic dept. have been
fired. Only vendors sell there now. These vendors
do not have any interest in client relations.
I had a defective product and they refused to do
anything about it. That's fine. From now on
I will give all sales to Bloomindales. Goodby
ONLINE MEANS BOTTOM LINE FOR SAKS FIFTH AVENUE! – I do not know how SAKS Fifth Avenue shopping is in person; however, if you purchase ONLINE and ANYTHING is incorrect with your order, WATCH IT! They WILL go after you; they will not assist you in resolving their packing and shipping errors, and no matter how small or large the problem or purchase, SAKS will fight you until the end. If you do send back the damaged parcel and merchandise, there is still absolutely no guarantee that your problem will be resolved. I would expect a "high-end" company such as SAKS to sell and ship quality merchandise. I have never received an order with so much damaged merchandise. It really makes me wonder just exactly what SAKS is selling. What I received was more like merchandise that was tossed in the "disgarded unsaleable to the general public" pile. An update to this note: It took me three months to get SAKS to pick up their garbage parcels. I was contacted by someone from SAKS who stated that they were going to my CC to recover THEIR funds because they claim I have had similar problems with "other" merchants. They would not provide the names of these "other" merchants; however, they went from claiming that items were delivered and damaged merchandise was not theirs to me being some kind of fraud. They are the frauds. They [finally] took back their garbage parcels and STILL do not want to refund! I KNEW they were going to do this! I am so glad I took photos of the junk they delivered. Again, BEWARE OF SHOPPING ONLINE WITH SAKS!
I am either dead right, or crazy, and I am not crazy.
I hope my experience is an isolated case.
Beware Of Purchasing Online From SAKS! I cannot say it enough!
Oh, and I would give them 0 Stars...But I have to put one, or I could not provide this info.
This is the only way I am able to convey this negative SAKS Fifth Avenue experience. Thank you!
Amazing massage – I had a Swedish massage with the massage therapist Christina.....it was so incredible...tension from lower back and neck....gone...therapist..very very sweet......highly recommended......it was the best massage of my life =)).....very very accommodating....Your company defiantly backs up its theme of providing massage and other services to reinvigorate the mind, body and soul......thanks Christina, i will be coming back soon!
best selection of clothing, bags, cosmetics – Saks is my favorite store because they have such a huge selection. The only time i can afford anything there is during their sales, but it is well worth it!!!! Everything in that store is tastefully picked. If I strike it rich one day, I would live there. On black friday I got a a $700 Gucci boot for $190 bucks. LOVE IT!!!
A New York pioneer ventures across the country with designer standards. – In Short
Saks is the retail hub for classics like Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren, Prada and Badgley Mischka. This department store gets props for its petite and Salon Z (sizes 14-24) women's collections, as well as great selection for the little ones. Each department is a boutique to itself, boasting well-trained clerks who not only sell the good life--they set the example.
Saks Fifth Avenue: A New York Classic!! A++++ – Saks Fifth Avenue is one of the BEST department stores in the world. Yes, it's expensive but they choose the best of the best from luxury high fashion to put in their store. The jewelry and watches will dazzle you. The handbags are incredible! If those designers price tags are too much for you- check out their famous contemporary clothing level which carries $250 jeans, $300 dresses and great seasonal sales!!! A must see for visitors and a frequent of all posh New Yorkers. A+++
The Shoe Salon – I found the shoe salon very disappointing. It is quite sleek and inviting. But what good is a shoe salon if you can't buy any shoes? My mother and I both wear difficult-to-find sizes, 9 AAAA and 10 AAAA, respectively. I was told that they do not carry these sizes. I was told that they could possibly special order shoes for me. I can do that at home. Where's the joy in shopping there?
The Spa at Saks – Oh Saks.... You disappoint me.
I had high hopes when I booked my facial for spa week. I figured, it's Saks, it's gotta be good... right?
Wrong! I was unsure of the location of the Spa and I could barely catch the attention of a single employee to point me in the right direction. Finally someone gestured silently without even looking up from what they were doing... Are you kidding me?!?!
Here are my complaints, in no particular order:
-There is a locker room like area to change, but only one curtained area. If someone is using it, you've got to wait or change in a bathroom stall... gross.
-The wrap they gave me to put on under my robe closed with velcro. The velcro was COVERED in hair... so sick.
-The robe they gave me was an XL. I was swimming in it.
-The floor was in dire need of a sweeping/mopping.
-When I entered the room for my facial I immediately noticed that many of the ceiling tiles were ill-fitting, damaged and not properly inserted into the ceiling... It looked incredibly tacky.
-Svetlana was nice enough, but my 60 minute facial was over in less than 45.
Very disappointing facilities overall. My facial was standard, nothing amazing. I look at spa week as an opportunity for spas to really wow clients, thus encouraging them to become regulars... Saks really missed the boat on this one. Overall, I was totally unimpressed with my experience. I won't be back. Hell, I'd rather tolerate all of the product-pushing and up-selling at Bliss than make another appt. at here.
The salon and spa at saks fifth ave. is horrible. The products they use their contain "sodium hydroxide" (lye) as a major ingredient.
