The Scene
Once shrugged off as a slightly musty grande dame, this famed salon's recent makeover has her looking younger--and hipper--than ever, while leaving the core of luxury intact. The spa is as much about pampering as end results--see the quiet, candle-lit spaces, wonderfully fluffy robes and hushed voices. The clients range from Upper East Side dowagers to NYU students, with a fair amount toting gift certificates.
The Services
Treatments run the gamut from skin care, waxing and body treatments to hair styling, makeup application and popular mani/pedis. Unique offerings include the "Pomegranate Warm Stone," "Ardena Four Layer" and "Double Oxygen" facials; customized hydrotherapy tub sessions coupled with massage; and luxurious "Desert Stone," "Olive Oil" and "CitraSpa" pedicures. The hair salon employs talented stylists and colorists whose work is often seen in fashion magazines.

I have a gift certificate from my brother to get a deep tissue massage I was a bit of a skeptic about getting a massage again at Red Door as most of my past experiences were not memorable .This time I got Liza ,she was extremely welcoming and friendly ,the whole experience was terrific. Her sense of humor and her authenticity put me at ease immediately her massage work was excepcional and has greatly helped improve the condition of my back, she has treated both the injured muscles of my lower back and other areas of my body that help support my back such as legs and feet. The combination of techniques with the strength of her hands are amazing .I have learned how with her massage thecniques I can effetely change my mental and physical well being. I will certainly continue to come back to see Liza and highly recommend her to others.

Relax Already!! One of the best massage I've ever received at Red Door Spa with Paul The staff seemed very friendly and no attitude. Red Door isn't glamorous despite the Fifth Ave location, but once on the massage table and in Paul's hands I couldn't care less about glamour locations ,his treatment and techniques were deep, firm pressure to release the tension in my shoulder and upper back..My tension and stress? 100% reduced, I want to thank him and highly recomended him. I've been to other places for massages, but I'll definitely come back to this place. I wish I didn't have to walk out onto NYC chaos afterwards..
