What People Are Saying About Zara

In Short – Like its European brethren H&M, Zara makes affordable basics with a twist, like a wider neckline or a lower-slung belt. But this is no average chain: Zara designs, makes and sells all of its own wares, giving it the ability to react quickly to trends. If a tunic-cut blazer sells out the week it hits the floor, Zara's manufacturers will help them restock in weeks rather than months.

Incompetent Sales Team
by an1023 at Citysearch
I called to see if Zara had a pair of leopard print ballet flats on a Thursday morning at 11 am. Knowing this store and this area well, there was no way they were swamped with people. The first woman I spoke with went to check on the shoes and i was hung up on, which can happen so that was fine. I called back and spoke with a different sales girl, who proceeded to continue to put me on hold and say that she was in 'basics' but couldn't transfer me to anyone. This was followed, about 5 minutes later by a different sales girl taking the shoe information and going to check on the shoes. Another 5 minutes later and a the rudest salesman picked up the phone and proceeded to give so much attitude that I just could not believe my ears. When I asked to speak with a manager he said he was the manager and then hung up on me.
If this is any indication in what Zara looks for in a sales team then I will never, ever shop at Zara again. I cannot believe that I wasted 20 minutes of my day being treated in such an unprofessional and rude manner.
I am truly disappointed in Zara and will be letting a higher ranking regional manager know of this situation as well.

I have never bought anything at Zara that didn't fall apart... I wish it wasn't the case! If you buy something, make sure you aren't expecting it to be a classic piece that will last
- Pros: trendy dresses
- Cons: cheaply made
Best fashion on town

I love this store! I'm from a small town in NC in the city for 2 months to train and I discovered this store walking down 34th street and I'm an addict! I cannot leave without a bag in my hand from there. I am a very small framed person and the dress shirts are the best! The fitting is fabulous and they don't have to be stretch, they are just normal shirts with the perfect fit! I'm stocking up b/c some of their things are classic and when I go back to NC, I can't shop there anymore:-(
- Pros: style
- Cons: cost, sizes

I love Zara. Ever since I discovered the store, I've been hooked. If you're a small framed tall woman like me, this is THE PLACE to buy pants. I used to have the hardest time finding pants that would fit my waist and my small (tiny) butt, but be long enough in length. SCORE!
The clothes are stylish and good quality, and the prices are GREAT! I shop here for myself and for my boyfriend. It's easy to look good with the selection they have, that won't break your wallet.
- Pros: Great clothes, Great prices
