A chocolate shop that resembles a fine jewelry store--with its wares arranged sparsely in glass cases..
In Short
The chocolates are flown in twice a week from Paris. The store looks like a fine jewelry store (the prices do, too) with its wares arranged sparsely in glass cases. The chocolate itself is not too sweet--from as low as 50 percent chocolate to 89 percent. (The average over-the-counter chocolate bar has about 30 percent chocolate.)

NY's Finest Chocolate Shop?. I'm a chocolate snob and a total foodie. I've sampled all the chockie shops from La Maison du, to (ugh) Godiva. Richart is my favorite. They have wonderful complex chocolates that make my friends ooh and ah. The fillings are intense and varied. Special favorites include the Emotion Pure series. Also try their tasting wafers. No, they're not cheap, but darn they're tasty; well worth the "investment".
