Terrible workmanship. Took a Burberry long coat to have it relined. The tailor and I agreed on a specific color lining (dark blue), where he was going to preserved the Burberry label, re-saw the buttons; all at a very expensive price ($350). This is what we agreed on. What I got was a black lining, no Burberry label, and the buttons badly stitched on. Several weeks later, the lining stitching ripped itself apart.

Afterwards, they refused to fix their own bad workmanship. An absolutely horrible place.

Best tailor in town. My husband used to get his suits made at Brioni since he thought they were the best, but I urged him to try Bhambis and he has never gone back. The attention to detail is amazing and the quality top notch. Very pleasant to deal with as well.

Bhambi's Makes Me Look Like A Celeb. I never thought a suit could fit me so well. I went in with two suits that were boxy and baggy, and I left with two suits that fit be like a glove.

The whole experience was great- from the very beginning I was treated like their most prized client and they took their time talking to me about the look and the shape I wanted and they had my suit cut and ready to wear within the week!

I liked their service so much I when back and had two more suits hand made! Now I look like a celebrity!

The Only Real Tailor in NYC!. I've been to a lot of tailors in Manhattan over the years and I have completely given up looking for someone to do the job right, I have had 2 suits ruined and countless shirts. I just moved and stumbled across Bhambi's and FINALLY!!! I had sport coats, suits and shirts made there in the last few months. You will not get better quality OR PRICING!!!! They are patient, knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond for their customers. Please go to Bhambi's and you will not be disappointed. Just thank me later...

A terrible place. This place is so awful, I can only imagine the positive reviews were written by the people who work there or their friends. I called ahead regarding alterations and made an appointment. When I walked in they said it would be five minutes and made me wait twenty. When I finally tried on one of the two suits I had brought in, the tailor just sat at the desk and didn't check on me in the changing room until I had to come out to wake him up. He spent about 90 seconds marking the suit, then told me it would take three weeks and charged easily double what any other skilled tailor in NYC would charge. I can't imagine anyone going here unless they were from out of town or just didn't know better. A friend had a suite tailored there previously and the workmanship was average. A terrible place.

POWER SUITS! BHAMBI CUSTOM SUITS ARE SHARP W IMPECCABLE FIT. My boss was wearing a power suit for a huge meeting for us to get the biggest client in the advertising industry! He walked into the meeting looking like he just walked off the red carpet! I have never seen something with such impeccable tailoring and precise lines! The fabric was also gorgeous! His shirt and power tie were also out of this world! If you want to impress colleagues and need power suits, their is only one place in New York City to go for this service.. Bhambi's! Thank you Bhambi's!

Great job! Will definitely go back.. I selected Bhambi's to alter a newly purchased Canali suit on the strength of CitySearch reviews. I wanted to find a top-notch tailor that I could also use for future custom suits/jackets.

First, they were extemely friendly. I have not gone to a custom shop before and was afraid that staff would either be pushy and/or condescending. My fears were unfounded.

Lal showed me the backroom where all suits are made. He showed me some of the fabrics he'd suggest for a (eventual) gray sportcoat. He obviously takes a lot of pride in the shop (I presume) he's built.

Harry took the time to ask me questions and get to know me a bit. Keep in mind - this was all on an alterations (not custom) job.

Sam took my measurements and returned the suit within 2 working days. All I can guess is that they all worked on Labor Day. It is a wonderful job and fits like it was made for me.

They all shook hands. They all made eye-contact.

I can say that the job cost more than I've paid for alterations but each "line item" alteration (e.g. hem, shoulders, waist, sleeves) was very reasonable on its own. It's just that they knew what needed to be done to make it look great - not just good.

I will be going back for custom pieces as soon as I'm able. I expect that Bhambi's is the type of place that will settle for nothing less than 100% delight from its clients; therefore, no risk in spending the hard-earned money for custom garments.
