An otherwise undistinguished Irish bar, Parnell's has the signal distinction of allowing dogs.

Excellent experience. Met a date for drinks and couldn't be happier. You could converse without straining to hear the other person. Very friendly staff and no pressure to order or move on. Definitely better for mature crowd and not the loud, younger segment. Don't know what it's like on a weekend night, but definitely recommend for a weekday evening for food and drink.

Great Neighborhood Spot. This is the place to go when you want a nice relaxing meal without all the pretense of many NYC restaurants.

I love the trout which I order without almonds and it is always delicious. Service can be a bit spotty depending on who is your waitress, but the staff is always pleasant.

A classic restaurant with no hidden surprises...what a relief.

Delicious Food, Good Prices, so-so waitstaff but very comfortable atmosphere. I live right by Parnell's so I may be a bit biased. While it may not be gourmet, the food is always delicious traditional fare (such as chicken potpie, shephard's pie) is always delicious, seasonal specials are great as well (a meat penne ala vodka was amazing) and the hamburgers are truly sensational (I'm not a burger eater, but have sampled some of the best in NYC, popburger, brgr, goodburger, burger heaven). The burgers are juicy, flavorful and bountiful.

That said, the service can be lacking (it's a strange crew of cold/aloof middle eastern females that are all waitresses) but the bartenders are always pretty friendly.

I would absolutely recommend, but know that you are going for a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere (however some game nights or late night weekends can get crowded).

Comfortable Neighborhood Pub with Good Food. We sometimes wonder whether the good, fairly imaginative pub food at Parnell's is a fluke and whether the next time we go the imaginative chef will have left and it will be back to burgers and shepherd's pie. But it hasn't happened yet. A reliable neighborhood standby for us with decent wines by the glass.

Editorial Review. Authentic Irish pub and restaurant features an exposed brick and dark wood interior, patio seating, brunch and more.

Best bartenders in the city. This is -by far- my favorite pub in the city. Martin, the bartender, makes it feel like a second home. And, due to the amount of time i spend there, it truly is a second home!

Great Neighborhood pub. good burger, feels like ur in a local pub, great bartenders, very friendly, doesnt have a nyc feel to it which is nice. lot of locals here, definitely an older crowd as well. not much of a bar scene, people just go to eat, not a place to go for an exciting night out with friends, more of a place if u want to relax.

Parnell's has best burger and cold glass of white wine, bar none.. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Service is prompt and courteous. Food is great.

You feel that this restaurant pays attention to the details that make it unique.

Great burgers, wonderful fish dish on Friday lunch....and a nice Macon Lugny by the glass at the bar. You really cannot miss here............the food is really good and the staff is very friendly..... especially the bartenders.....and one of the unusual things is you can get a very nice white burgundy by the glass, which is most unusual in NYC.
