One of the most romantic places to take your date in all of Manahatta. We rec the duck.
Ancient, canonical, and a veritable museum of classic French restaurant cookery, this midtown restaurant received an unexpected rejuvenation when Christian Delouvrier, one of the greatest chefs in the city's history, decided to return to the stoves in his emeritus years. So if you ever want to have this food done the way it's meant to be, now would be the time and this would be the place. Once he goes back to retirement all bets are off.
nice and casual spot for. Very nice prompt service, food was also good-my faves snails very just amazing, mussels in curry also were delicious .Perfect to have a light brunch at outdoor seating( at summer time of course).
Great, Personable Service!!!. Friends took us here for the first time last night. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and outstanding food. This place is like home! A must for everyone.
Editorial Review. Entrees like steak au poivre and grilled daurade come in regular- and small-sized plates at this Provencal bistro in midtown.
Favorite go to restaurant!!!!!!!!!!.
All time favorite restaurant in the city. Amazing staff, great food (The tuna and scallops and watermelon salad...i could go on and on). And cant say enough great things about Gerard - hes my favorite! :)
Definitely a place EVERYONE needs to try !

I have eaten here for years and every person I have ever brough here (and I bring everyone) has been delighted!! This is my favorite restaurant in Manhattan for a meal with friends or for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend. A+++
good service...terrible food. I ate at this place many months ago....it's got character but don't go there for the food ...you WILL be disappointed...service was great...seating was great...but I hate to say it...food was awful...
very good food and staff.
highly recommend and def. worth the money!!
they welcome you like you are part of their family.
they serve you like you are their best pal.
it's a lovely place with good food.
Adorable and Delicious!. Oh, I can't say enough about this cozy comfortable and unassuming restaurant. Three differnet decorated rooms all cozy and beautiful in their own right, reminding one of coutryesque settings. The Provencale style food is delicious. The fish soup is the best I've had in the city, as is the onion tart. Everytime I go, I try different fish dishes and have never been let down. the lamb chops were succulent and enjoyable. I can't think of a time I have ever had a bad meal, or experience here. You would be surprised to find who may be waiting on you, and you may get a kick out of their shirts, but relax and enjoy. What a wonderful spot in the middle of "Little Long Island" style bars and restaurants.
Delightful classic French bistro with contemporary touches. This has been a longtime favorite for me, my family, and friends. I always enjoy a warm welcome, and love both the evocative French-country atmosphere and the traditional dishes. The addition of "small plates" to the menu has been especially helpful when I'm trying to watch my waistline! A secret suggestion: ask if they have the "cocotte" for dessert, even if it's not on the menu. You'll thank me if they have it!
an oasis on a sweltering day. It was a 90 degree day and I had walked from Port Authority on my way to a hair appointment- I stepped through the door and Voila! I was transported back to Provence in an instant! Wonderful prix fixe $23 lunch- started with caramelized onion tart followed by cold poached salmon over a bed of julienned cucumbers with a great vinaigrette then ended with two small scoops of decadent chocolate mousse on a sauce of mocha. With a generous pour of house Cotes du Rhone it was perfection!
