This place is great for the east side. It's a good place for lunch. I enjoyed the bibimbop as well as the other little dishes you get with the meal.

Terrible for BBQ

by adnagnyc at Citysearch

Strolled in on a Thurs night with a friend in the mood for great Korean bbq. The staff that did the bbq for us had no clue what to do. She put the meat/shrimp on when the bbq wasn't hot enough so it just lay there limp, and we did not hear the familiar sizzle. Oh- and also, it's expensive for what you get. The big problem here is that they do not use charcoal for their bbq so you do not get the smoky flavor. Avoid this place if bbq is your thing- head over to K-town and visit Won JO instead. Great food, and better prices. More experienced staff too!

  • Pros: centrally located near midtown east.
  • Cons: horrible bbq- and inexperienced waitstaff.

Pricey for Korean food

by TardyKat at Citysearch

Staff was attentive and food was good. The place was so packed for lunch we were whisked away to the back part of the restaurant, which I assumed is usually for private parties. Like all Korean restaurants, there were free appetizers. I ordered the Park Avenue combo, for $18, you get soup, salad, bulgogi and dosot bip bim bop. It's a bit expensive but this being mid-town Manhattan, I guess that's to be expected.

  • Pros: Good food, fast service
  • Cons: Expensive

AMAZING

by richierich1977 at Citysearch

Best Korean food above 32nd Street. The prices are good, and the food is very authentic. Friendly staff, and beautiful atmosphere. THEIR PIANO GUY ROCKS. BEST PIANO PLAYING I HAVE HEARD SINCE MY GRANDMOTHER USED TO PLAY. They also have the BEST pickled black beans in the world...but they dont have it all the time. Also the lotus root is very good too!

  • Pros: Amazing everything
  • Cons: none
