“really enjoyed the Trader Wics Pina Colada and the Shake Batter and Bowl Chicken but the boyfriend ruined a romantic night and we left before I could enjoy the banana split I had been dying to try all week.”
“Obviously the frozen hot chocolate is amazing, but the rest of the food is tasty, but overpriced.”
“It is the BEST chocolate drink i've ever had!”
“The service was horrible, the food was just average, but the desserts were good.”
“OK, so it doesn't have a kids menu (they claim the misinformation on this site is not their doing) We stayed anyway, in spite of the hour wait to get in (there's great window shopping on the block) AND GLAD WE DID!”
“Officially my favorite restaurant!”
“It was overall a good experience although I doubt I'll go back unless I have out-of-towners who want to go.”
“Our waitress was very attentive and constantly came by to refill our water and see how we were doing.”
“Serendipity was incredibly overrated, (the decor was not "whimsical" at all, and the food was way below average, as well as being very very overpriced!”
“To make a long story short, we were very impressed with the service and food, (good enough for 5 subsequent trips each year) and we even met Mr. Steven Bruce, who owns the place, and he seated us at the same table that the movie was filmed at.”
A cozy palace where dream-sized desserts and ice cream parlor whimsy lull you into a fantasy of another day and age. Here you can buy a Tiffany lamp or teddy bear, dine on a hot dog or caviar, and sit at a table that Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Andy Warhol,or Jackie Kennedy once sat at. Since 1954, the landmark Serendipity 3, has served delicious comfort food in a unique and entertaining setting. Whimsical dishes such as "Young Chicken Sandwiches", "Curried Chicken Almondine Casserole", "Bi-Sensual Burger",& "Madame Butterfly Pasta" has made ordering almost as fun as eating! The oxy-moronic Frrrozen Hot Chocolate is one chilly bowl of magnificence that renders the place a must visit. Lovers have proposed over it, & diets have been broken over it. From the "Can't Say No Sundae" to "YuDuFunDu", the desserts at Serendipity will satisfy the sweet tooth of all. …
Frozen hot chocolate really was delicious! Great for desserts; food is ok not great- but be prepared to wait for a looong time but its worth the experience its a cute, quaint little place.
The ice cream here is very delicious but its always crowded and there's a long wait. If you have lots of time to waste you should definitely give this place a try!
Get Monique off of the reservation line as she was rude and crude and we will now never visit Serendipity in NYC again which we have visited for four years straight now and was a staple in our NYC vacation trips.
This place is a treasure! Definitely one of the best places to eat at in the area! We went here after work and were surprised that we stayed there for four hours!
I guess I come just to get the frozen
hot chocolate. It is divine! The peanut butter one is my favorite! Also, it's a very cutesy place.
I would recommend coming here for lunch because there is virtually no line. And if there is one, it's nowhere as long as the dinner line.
We tried Serendipity 3 for the first time on 8/6/2011 and it was absolutely out of this world! We ordered the famous frrrrozen hot chocolate and the Cinnamon Fudge Sundae. I was so happy that my husband and I decided to order to the Cinnamon Fudge Sundae because it was unlike anything else I'v ever eaten, it was out of this world scrumptious. The BEST dessert that we've ever had. The Cinnamon ice cream was delicious was an amazing surprise, it was absolutely the best and well worth our 15 bucks. I can't wait to go back!!
Last time i visited New York, it took me about 4 hours to find Serendipity 3. Id seen the cafe in movies before and wanted desperatly to try the frozen hot chocolate, and after hours of walking all over the city, i finally found it. And i was not dissapointed. It is one of the best cafes ive been to in my life. And when i go back for another visit, that will be one of my first food destinations. Congratulations on the marvelous place you have, which will hopefully continue to be there for a long long time.
My friend took me here as a surprise
for my birthday. Thank goodness she made reservations. I've always wanted to try this place, but this place is always packed and you hardly can get in without a 2 months reservation spot!
So we of course had the frozen hot chocolate. It was pretty good! I wouldn't say it tasted at all the hot chocolate...but it was a very good chocolated beverage.
Of course we couldn't leave without having dessert. We ordered this sunday that had like peanut butter in it..chocoalte..and all sorts of yummy goodness.
Faaabulous Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate: Serendipity 3 is famous for it's Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, and you must try it! It's kind of like drinkable chocolate pudding, but it tastes really good. Also, their chocolate cake is the best in all of New York and I'm not kidding. They have mini chocolate chips embedded in the rich moist chocolaty cake. The icing is great too.
