“Not the cleanest joint, but chock full of retro, cute ambiance.”
“However; all desserts are amazing with huge portions.”
“It is the BEST chocolate drink i've ever had!”
“We all ordered different items and shared - Catcher in the Rye and Haight-Ashbury sandwiches were wonderful.”
“OK, so it doesn't have a kids menu (they claim the misinformation on this site is not their doing) We stayed anyway, in spite of the hour wait to get in (there's great window shopping on the block) AND GLAD WE DID!”
“It is a great little place in NYC to get dessert.”
“It was overall a good experience although I doubt I'll go back unless I have out-of-towners who want to go.”
“the service, the food, and from what I saw everyone else enjoying THE DESSERT”
“the thumbs up - huge and delicious deserts.”
“It is not a bad place to have these monster deserts, however from making reservations, they are rude and the actual service is slow.”
A cozy palace where dream-sized desserts and ice cream parlor whimsy lull you into a fantasy of another day and age. Here you can buy a Tiffany lamp or teddy bear, dine on a hot dog or caviar, and sit at a table that Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Andy Warhol,or Jackie Kennedy once sat at. Since 1954, the landmark Serendipity 3, has served delicious comfort food in a unique and entertaining setting. Whimsical dishes such as "Young Chicken Sandwiches", "Curried Chicken Almondine Casserole", "Bi-Sensual Burger",& "Madame Butterfly Pasta" has made ordering almost as fun as eating! The oxy-moronic Frrrozen Hot Chocolate is one chilly bowl of magnificence that renders the place a must visit. Lovers have proposed over it, & diets have been broken over it. From the "Can't Say No Sundae" to "YuDuFunDu", the desserts at Serendipity will satisfy the sweet tooth of all. …

Fun place to take the kids or any adult that wants to feel like a kid. Can't go wrong with a sundae and of course their famous frozen hot chocolate.
My family visited Serendipity 3 in June. We had diiner and dessert. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation the host was so nice we were seated right then and we had no wait. The meal was wonderful the best we had in New York. We can wait to return. We love Serendipity 3!!!!
everytime i feel the delicious taste of frozen chocolate on my tongue, i feel great. Serendipity is the best place ever! i <3 it!
This review is just for the frozen hot
chocolate - it was tasty & I really enjoyed it. It's creamy and yet crunchy because there are tiny chunks of crushed ice in there.but it was good! It's pretty big though, so I recommend sharing it with someone.
FYI there's an $8.50 minimum charge per person if you dine in.
There was no wait when we went in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday. Wahoo :)
Absolutely out of this world!. We tried Serendipity 3 for the first time and it was absolutely out of this world! We ordered the famous frrrrozen hot chocolate and the Cinnamon Fudge Sundae. I was so happy that my husband and I decided to order to the Cinnamon Fudge Sundae because it was unlike anything else I'v ever eaten, it was out of this world scrumptious. The BEST dessert that we've ever had. The Cinnamon ice cream was delicious was an amazing surprise, it was absolutely the best and well worth our 15 bucks. I can't wait to go back!!
