“The location is so convenient to mid-town.”
“$277 plus tip for 5 people and we didn't even order dessert!”
“Really great wine list and superb food.”
“My father did love his food, but I'll never go back here, not with the management's attitude.”
“Glorified Pizzeria food at top dollar prices, the menu is over ambitious some of the food was so heavy we could not eat it, and good calamari can be had almost anywhere at half the price- don't bother it is for the tourists!”
“All in all a great place for an authentic italian meal.”
“All in all, a very nice dining experience, I would go back in a minute.”
“The service was also very friendly and recommended a wonderful bottle of wine (we had 3 of them.)”
“Good food, Good service = high prices”
“All in all, a very nice dining experience, I would go back in a minute.”
Totally unprofessional.. The staff thinks they are doing you a favor. Totally unprofessional.
Perfect Spring Menu. I loved every part of my meal at Fresco by Scotto when I went for my friend's birthday last week. The ingredients were fresh and the service was so helpful. I had a spring salad that was light and fresh... a perfect way to start a meal. I also thoroughly enjoyed the salmon. It tasted fresh and light. The seasonal fruits were the perfect way to end my light spring meal
Tuscan dining at it's best. There is no more elegant, attentive and warm host in NYC than Anthony Scotto of Fresco by Scotto. Combined with the delicious Tuscan cuisine he serves (the baked ricotta is a must), you've got a truly wonderful dining experience. The ideal location, superb wine list and the nightly star sightings makes Fresco required dining in NYC!
Do yourself a favor and go to Fresco !!!. I love this place!!!!!!! This is where I would want to bring people to impress with awesome food and service. The hostess was genuinely hospitable, the bar staff was super busy but attentive and friendly, ( the Italian apple martini was devine), and this was just the beginning. It was date night for my husband and I, which we never have, and the whole dining experience was excellent. The sommelier ( I think his name was Brett), helped with our wine selection, and I was pleased he didn't just try to sell anything expensive. The place was buzzing. Our waiter Marco was very professional, and the entire staff made us feel like we were a guest in their home. Even the owner graciously walks around to make sure all of the guests are happy. We will definitely be back next date night.
Amazing!!.
I took my wife out to dinner last week and we had a great time.
I had the pork chop and she had the steak. Both were excellent.
The deserts were out of this world.
The service was great and the staff was very friendly.
I would highly recommend this restaurant!
I Love This Place!. The first time I ate here was in 2006, and I come back as much as I can. I feel like I am welcomed into the Scotto's home when I am there. There are almost always celebrities around, and the food is delicious! Must eat there!!!!
Decent food, but at what cost?. The food was good, however, make sure you check you bill before you leave. We ordered 3 desserts to share amongst our party and they sent us for 10! They kept bringing desserts out, so we assumed they were being very gracious. The next business day I called to let them know they charged me for 7 additional desserts I did not order I did not dispute it that night because I did not want to make a scene in front of my guests, also we sent back drinks that were unacceptable which we were also charged for. I took this up with the owner, and she was very rude, I was so shocked to have been spoken to so disrespectfully and to be yelled at by a supposed professional. She contradicted herself several times as she yelled at me and then told me if I wrote a bad review she would argue that I “threatened” her. Are you serious? This restaurant and its owner are only after money and have no ethics or human decency. They take advantage of large parties in hopes that you will not carefully review your bill. Save yourself the time and money and don’t go there!!!
Citysearch Editorial Profile. The focus is on Tuscan cuisine with a modern slant at this midtown haunt.
Decent date night. Took my girfriend there for her birthday last year and was slightly satisfied with the night. The food was decent while the service was excellent. The waitress knew the menu inside and out and made suggestions based on what we were saying and how we were reacting to the choices. On the night we were there it was a bit touristy, but then again, it is Midtown Manhattan. I'd recommend it for a night out with the wife/girlfriend if you're doing something else after (movie/drinks, etc.)
Great food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. The pasta is fantastic, the special pizzas are scrumptious and the bolognese sauce is to die for. The place is loud, but a lot of fun and a place to watch people. The staff always goes the extra mile to ensure that it's a perfect evening.
