fun irish pub
by alyv20 at Citysearch
Went here with some friends while visiting NYC from Chicago. Reminded me of the laid back, old bars of Chi. typical irish bar - but good for groups!
- Pros: atmosphere, service
3-headed dog doorman, relaxing inside, laissez faire staff

We had so much trouble with the doorman that some of us left before getting inside. One of us was holding a table inside. The doorman insisted he was NOT inside and we could not come in Once inside, those of us left, found a nice quiet place in the back Service was not particularly friendly... and the waitress seemed particularly adverse to taking our money at the end of the night. Still the inside was pleasant, and the atmosphere was a welcome change from Murphy's next door. The beer and food were okay. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers
- Pros: good seating possibilities, relaxing atmosphere inside
- Cons: doorman
sure thing

Jameson's may not be the most exciting bar in the world, but it definitely is a good time if you go with a group of friends. Like the title of this review states, nothing spectacular, but a sure thing! (Good name too!)
