50% Off Your Second Bottle

I used to walk past this shop all the time, always eyeing a bottle of 100 yr. old Grand Marnier displayed in the front window. One day I finally went in and while I didn't come out with the bottle of cognac, I did come out with four assorted bottles of really great French wine. They had a very nice selection of Bordeaux, particularly, and with their 50% off the second bottle deal I felt I'd actually come out having paid decent prices per bottle.

Since then I've gone in a number of times, usually to browse their wine on sale. Depending on the original price of the wine, bottles will be marked down anywhere from one to six dollars.

Service is excellent, I felt comfortable asking questions and for recommendations. Continuing their great service: they've got a good selection of wine on their website and you can order online (or phone in) and they'll deliver if you're on the Upper East side.

I'd recommend that if you walk by Sutton Wine shop, stop in like I did. You most likely have a satisfying visit and be happy you did!

Great spot for bargains, service and hard to find items

Sutton Wine shop is one of the few wine stores I've found to have an amazing selection. They try to represent a little bit of everything, so harder to find items stand a better chance of being found here than at many other places I've shopped at. In the event they don't have a specific item you were looking for they're knowledgeable and quick to recomend something else in that same style, or they always offer to look into ordering it for you. With the weekly tastings I've tried quite a few new wines and varietals I've never heard of and learned a fair amount about the wine too. Overall this place really has the most well rounded approach to retail service. Great customer service, vast varieties of wine and spirits and a pleasant environment to shop in, they deliver too in case you dont want to stop in and browse around, and be it over the phone or in person I always receive really great help.

Best in Midtown, Hands Down

Sutton Wine is now my only place for great wine. The selection is amazing and the wine tasting is very enjoyable. Sutton Wine also delivers, but I still enjoy going to the store. Try the wine tasting they have, its such an enjoyable experience.

Great Neighborhood Shop

The staff at the store are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They really know their stuff. They have a large selection of wines, liquor, and champagne and they can always recommend something perfect! They also offer delivery so it is very convenient for those occasions when you don't feel like going out.
