Dive 75

Owner

Much like the city itself, Dive 75 is a melting pot of all peoples. This little destination place doesn't try to be anything more than what it is; a fun, unpretentious bar with a great vibe & friendly bartenders. Lack of choice is not in this bar's vocabulary. Try one of their nineteen beers on tap, or have the bartender make you a refreshing cocktail, & then let the games begin! Literally...they are well known for being "the bar with the board games" -especially Connect Four. If that's not your thing, there is always a sporting event on one of the t.v.'s. Dive 75 is the perfect place for a birthday, a corporate event, or even a benefit. With the help of their sister bar, food catering is also available. They also have complimentary candy & snack mix. So, come in, grab a drink and find out why this is not just your average local.

In Short
Upper West Side dwellers with money to spend and a hankering for a neighborhood bar fill this dimly lit watering hole. With four TVs, about 20 tap beers, a free Wi-Fi connection, a 155-gallon fish tank, and an array of board games such as Connect Four and Uno, there's no time to be bored. Drinkers play DJ at a jukebox featuring the likes of Guns N' Roses, Indigo Girls and Eric Clapton.

Incredibly rude bald bouncer....he will track you down if he misses checking your ID when you walk in. He is rude, and single-handedly ruined our experiece at Dive 75. It is a shame because we live around the corner, but will never return, due solely to this bouncer. Others that night had the same feeling and also said that the bouncer made them never want to come back. Also, as we were leaving, we stopped outside on the sidewalk right outside the bar to give directions to tourists, and of course, we get yelled by who else but the bouncer, to move away from the door despite the fact that we were on a public sidewalk of a street that we happen to live on....

This bar was pretty fly, even though by the time we got here I was already pretty wasted. Came with with friends, it was pretty crowded, even though the bar crowd wasnt that great looking, the atmosphere was still a lot of fun. Plus they have board games all through the bar so you can drink beer AND play scrabble... Highly recommended...
