New Madison Ave location.
Nanoosh just opened up their Madison Ave (btwn 33 & 34) location in a former art supply store. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Delicious organic hummus is just a part of their menu.
Do not be fooled - the portions are generous, and well priced.
It's a bright open space with pleasant touches. The clever use of glass & chic-pea accents ands a bit of whimsy.
It's more comfortable and relaxing than the average lunch spot.
Are these guys kidding, worst experience ever. Thought I was going to enjoy this restaurant, but this was the worst experience I have ever had with eating out. T am calling the health department to inspect this place and the food really sucks!
Good service, Large portions of O.K./Good food. My friends and I went to Nanoosh this past Saturday night at around 8:30pm. It wasn't too crowded, but still had enough people to suggest that it was good. The service was good and the food was prepared quickly, but ultimately we were all a bit underwhelemed. The plain hummus has a great, creamy consistency, but lacks flavor. We didn't taste any of the garlic or lemon that to me is the hallmark of a good hummus. Additionally, my lentil soup was hearty, but again, not very flavorful. I'm not the type who needs a lot of heat, but I like seasoning and the soup was definitely under-seasoned. Finally, the quinoa salad was quite good but I wish they would have included a few more dried cranberried and walnuts. It was an awful lot of quinoa and not a lot of the other ingredients. As I refer to dishes like these, it was a bit "recessionary."
Best HUMMUS in the City!. Hummus Nanoosh is seriously the best way to eat hummus. The hummus mixed with the ground beef is to die for. I can't wait to go back!
Best hummus in the city.
I am a great fan of hummus and i am so happy that Nanoosh open this little place. The place look great and the hummus is the best. Beside this they an interesting variation of choices for hummus as well as wraps(most of them with hummus)
For the salad lovers they have few choices but according to my wife, great salad. (she is fan of the quinoa.
The prices are not expensive at all and they use a lot of organic ingredients.
Definitely worth it.
Unique Experience.
I came to Nanoosh during its first week and ever since then have been soooo addicted. I have had other Hummus in different restaurants but nothing tops them.
Highly recommended!!!
Best Hummus in NYC.
That's the best Hummus restaurant and a great place to bring people that you want to surprise!
Great service. The food is always well done, very tasty and the bill always surprise us... A great place ever!!!!! Congratulations too the owners because I will always come back to that litlle great Hummus Bar Place!!!
Alas, No More Wraps.
I too used to love this place. Love it to the point of obsession. Yes, every now and again they dropped the ball with stale laffa bread or completely a--backward delivery service, but when they were good...sigh. The Fez - best hummus in town. Under the Tuscan Sun - savory and delicious. Cobb Salad- oh so evil but oh so good.
Sadly, however, they are now closed. If anybody knows anything close to as yummy, please do tell.
Best Wraps. I love this place. Especially the breakfast wraps, thay're soooo good. I moved from around the block to the east side, and this is one of the things I miss most about the west side. The wait for delivery is a bit long. But the wraps are fresh and so yummy!
Don't wait for it. During a non-eventful Saturday lunch hour, an order placed online did not get through because the joint's fax machine was broken. It would have been nice to find that out on the website but it took us an hour of waiting for Godot before calling and being told the news that no lunch was prepared for us. When the order finally went through by phone it took another hour and 10 minutes for the food to get to us - we're talking a 4-block distance. And even though by the time lunch came even hunger and any desire to be critical had disappeared, the Under the Tuscan Sun salad was hands down miserable.
