one of my favorites
by stardazedNYC at Citysearch
i don't know what the other reviewers are talking about! i've been coming here for years and i've never been disappointed!
sure you can find better Mexican food elsewhere, but for the location, quick service and moderate prices, i come here.
i took my boyfriend here for the first time a few years ago and he can be extremely picky about his food, but this quickly became one of his favorites too! his chicken burrito was served hot and tender and his water glass was filled promptly- just the way he likes it!
my favorites are the house salad and shrimp enchilada- a whole juicy shrimp in every bite!
try it. if you hate it, then it'll just be another restaurant on your list never to go to ever again (and we all have those).
Hopeless - better off with street meat...

Harry's is very hit or miss on their food (and they miss bad frequently). It is very poor value. It doesn't pretend to be authentic Mexican -- if you want that on the UWS, go to the Super Taco truck on 96th and Bway. Harry's delivery service is utterly hopeless. We've ordered from there (shows how dumb we are) 8 times in the last yr and they've fouled up the order 50% of the time in some way, but tonite literally took the cake -- screwed up 3 of 4 dishes and left the drinks out and then it took me 15 minutes on the phone to fix it with them. And the soup was so awful it was inedible.
- Pros: Hit or Miss Food
- Cons: Expensive for the mediocre food; delivery service is patheti
You Get What You Pay For
by ilovesoup at Citysearch
You can go a few blocks and get better Mexican food at Chipotle. Or go literally around the corner to Santa Fe for better food and much better drinks. Harry's is alright if you're just looking for something cheap, although all the times I've been there I always end up waiting for what seems like an impossibly long time for my food to arrive. And when it does, it's always just OK. I keep going back because it's really cheap, but you get what you pay for I guess. The people who work there are really nice, and they have outdoor seating, but those are the only positive things about this place.
- Pros: Cheap, patio seating
- Cons: Bad margaritas, slow service
spoiled food

I had an enchilada and the salsa fresca with chips. Both dishes tasted spoiled! I hope I'm not sick in the morning!
