What People Are Saying About Ollie's Noodle Shop

The Scene – With locations directly across the street from the 84th Street and 68th Street Sony multiplexes, Ollie's rakes in the Upper West Side pre-movie crowd. Ollie's 84th can't boast much atmosphere--its closely packed tables are often full, and the room's loud. But because of its quick service, reasonable prices, tasty food and skewered ducks hanging in the front window, few people complain. – – The Food – Try the wonderfully greasy scallion pancakes, which are guaranteed to stay with you all the way through the movie. Other favorites include the wonton soup…

I often walk by this place and because it is pack all the time, i end up trying it, it stinks.

I ordered a duck salad and some shrim and pork dumpling, both was fat and tasted horrible.

It is and will remain for me a mystery, why so many people eat here every day?

Poor Food

by lejam at Citysearch

I really did not enjoy the food here. I had the general tso chicken, a dish I always order and my boyfriend had the tuna. The tuna was bland and overcooked and my chicken was over fried. We had to send back the tuna and get another dish.Service was good and co-operative in taking back the tuna, but I would suggest trying some other dishies.

  • Pros: Good for large groups
  • Cons: Poor Food

WOW....A FAST RIDE DOWNHILL!

by wise1too at Citysearch

This place used to be great. But I'm not in the area as much as I used to be. I hadn't been to this Ollie's in about a year. And what a difference a year can make. This went from a place to travel out of your way for to nothing special. It's not horrible but I don't think I'll be back for a long time. What a shame. I just had dinner recently at the Ollie's near Lincoln Center and that continues to be good. I believe all the Ollie's have different owner groups and chefs. So they all have different menus.

Bad service, good food

by walvarez at Citysearch

I just wanted to say that if it wasn't because I was with my friends I wouldn't left more than just a penny. I liked the fried rice and all the rest of the entrees, but the service was simply the worst ever had.

Next time I will just have my order to go and enjoy with friends at home or watching a good tv program, but don't go and eat there, chances are that the waitresses might pun... you in your face with her attitude.
