67 wine incimpetent staff. 67 wine - an awful experience. As a collector of fine wine, I was shocked at the poor and incompetent service. I ordered a case of wine that was in stock and was promised delivery 3 days later. Instead when it never arrived, I called the store to find out that they forgot to ship it. They then promised UPS delivery in 3 days.

Again 3 days later, I called, and they claimned UPS said I was not home. I was home, there was no UPS attempted delivery, nor any attempt by 67 wines to do anything, not even an apololgy. Then, another promise of their truck delivery 4 days later. Guess what, they forgot to put it on the truck. Again, no phone call, apology, ot any attempt to make good. NYC has manyt great wine stores. Avoid this one.

Great Customer Service. Great customer service, even when I had to cancel an order they were still really nice after the delivery person had already left for the delivery and had to come back due to cancellation. I promise to always use them, I believe I at least owe them that.

Mr. Zack. What an experience. I am no Robert Parker nor part of the miserable person club either. This store you can see places great emphasis on customer service. Their knowledge and one and one help is way and beyond. It is amazing to find that level of help in todays retail field. I think it is the only store with two floors of wine. Clearly the widest range of wine choices in New York State. I wait for their weekly fully page advertisements in the New York Times which offers a 18% coupon. Great tastings as well.

Non-Existent Customer Service. The Upper West Side, sadly, is a wine enthusiast's nightmare. Lots of wine wannebees - no real contenders.

67 Wine & Spirit is Exhibit A. First, the customer service is non-existent. Even if you go there, as I did, with the name of a recommended wine salesman, either 1.) it's his day-off (how many days off do these guys get? 2.) he's in the basement and can't come upstairs now (nor, apparently, even a half an hour later) 3.) he's on vacation.

I make no claims to be Robert Parker, but I do know a bit, particulalrly about Italian white wines and wines from Burgundy. When I did finally connect with this recommended salesman, I knew more than he did. That dog doesn't hunt.

My advice: schlep to Scrsdale to shop at Zachy's, arguably the best wine store on the East Coast.

Best Wine Store in NYC. Amazing wine store -- incredibly knowledgeable sales people, broad and deep selection of wines, great location and they deliver all over Manhattan. Good selection of spirits too. Sales associates specialize in regions, are patient and try hard -- and succeed -- in steering you in the right direction on the wine front. Great place to demystify the wine buying process. I really like their tastings -- usually something poured downstairs and upstairs on weekends. Actually it's a nice place to meet people, around the second floor tasting table. If you haven't been there recently, go back! And if it's your first time there, 67 Wine is a great NYC discovery.

Worst customer service ever. I have never had a worse mail order experience in my life. I ordered a bottle of expensive cognac for my father's birthday a month in advance of the actual date. After not receiving a confirmation of shipment 2.5 weeks later, I called. After twice being told I would be called back with an order update (which I never was), I finally tracked somebody down who said the shipment would arrive within 5 days.

5 days later, no shipment and same level of customer service (I called several times and spoke with representatives that never called me back). Maybe it's fine for in-store purchases but I would never ever use their website nor shop there based upon the treatment received.

A Wine Dream. Great Store. This store is one of New York City's landmarks, 66 years on the upper west side, Their selection is by far the most diverse and very low prices to boot It is a wonderful place to browse, two floors of wine, fabulous atmosphere. Friendly and articulate educated staff. Customer service goes out of their way to help you. I also get deliveries which are always prompt. Web site is also top notch that I use to place orders for gifts.

worst liquor store. I placed an on line order for an in stock item that not everyone carries in stock . My requested delivery was by the end of the next business day, allowing for roughly a day and one half to deliver. I was very specific about this and left my phone number in case there was a problem. The following very late afternoon, around 5pm I spoke with them to find that they would not make my first delivery without actually visiting the store because they wanted an imprint of my credit card. I have never been asked for this or refused credit EVER. They absoulutly refused deivery unless I took a taxi which would have cost about $30 - 40 round trip during rush hour, and this is the only option that I was givien. I cancelled only to find that my local store can order this product with a 48 hour notice.

Unbelievable Selection & Customer Service. Just a great store. Customer service is what it should be. They obviously put a lot of emphasis on customer service and are very responsive. They carry the most hard to get items to just a huge selection of well priced bargains with quality. The staff makes you feel comfortable, a total lack of snob appeal. That is in fact why we shop here, there is a total lack of intimidation. The staff is very helpful and will spend an incredible amount of time fielding your questions. They have an incredible staff with knowledge. A differant experience compared with other generic box stores selling the same old stuff or low end uninteresting product. Also great selection of wine stuff such as corkscrews, wine glasses & other hard to find accessories.

Save your wallet and palette. About me:

I have lived 2 blocks away from the place for the last year and a half and would have loved to have a good wine place in the neighborhood. I have been a wine enthusiast for many years now. I have given the place at least 5-7 chances. I have a very very busy lifestyle and this is the first time I have ever written any review on any website.

About the wine shop:

Snobby, rude, "we are better than you" "service". Recommendations are usually meant to clear their inventory of bad wine. Once, I bought three bottles that they recommended for under $15 and poured each and every one down the drain. Overpriced. You can find much better wine at MUCH better prices at Nancy's on 75th. Better yet, just go to Trader Joe's on 14th and you might feel ripped off from Wine 67 and want for your money back. I will give it some points for an extensive selection and have bought one or two good bottles from there but you HAVE TO know exactly which wine you are looking for. Hence I will give them two points instead of zero

Summary:

Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs!
