67 wine incimpetent staff.
67 wine - an awful experience. As a collector of fine wine, I was shocked at the poor and incompetent service. I ordered a case of wine that was in stock and was promised delivery 3 days later.
Instead when it never arrived, I called the store to find out that they forgot to ship it. They then promised UPS delivery in 3 days.
Again 3 days later, I called, and they claimned UPS said I was not home. I was home, there was no UPS attempted delivery, nor any attempt by 67 wines to do anything, not even an apololgy. Then, another promise of their truck delivery 4 days later. Guess what, they forgot to put it on the truck. Again, no phone call, apology, ot any attempt to make good. NYC has manyt great wine stores. Avoid this one.…
Great Customer Service. Great customer service, even when I had to cancel an order they were still really nice after the delivery person had already left for the delivery and had to come back due to cancellation. I promise to always use them, I believe I at least owe them that.…
Mr. Zack. What an experience. I am no Robert Parker nor part of the miserable person club either. This store you can see places great emphasis on customer service. Their knowledge and one and one help is way and beyond. It is amazing to find that level of help in todays retail field. I think it is the only store with two floors of wine. Clearly the widest range of wine choices in New York State. I wait for their weekly fully page advertisements in the New York Times which offers a 18% coupon. Great tastings as well.…
Non-Existent Customer Service.
The Upper West Side, sadly, is a wine enthusiast's nightmare. Lots of wine wannebees - no real contenders.
67 Wine & Spirit is Exhibit A. First, the customer service is non-existent. Even if you go there, as I did, with the name of a recommended wine salesman, either 1.) it's his day-off (how many days off do these guys get? 2.) he's in the basement and can't come upstairs now (nor, apparently, even a half an hour later) 3.) he's on vacation.
I make no claims to be Robert Parker, but I do know a bit, particulalrly about Italian white wines and wines from Burgundy. When I did finally connect with this recommended salesman, I knew more than he did. That dog doesn't hunt.
My advice: schlep to Scrsdale to shop at Zachy's, arguably the best wine store on the East Coast.…
Best Wine Store in NYC. Amazing wine store -- incredibly knowledgeable sales people, broad and deep selection of wines, great location and they deliver all over Manhattan. Good selection of spirits too. Sales associates specialize in regions, are patient and try hard -- and succeed -- in steering you in the right direction on the wine front. Great place to demystify the wine buying process. I really like their tastings -- usually something poured downstairs and upstairs on weekends. Actually it's a nice place to meet people, around the second floor tasting table. If you haven't been there recently, go back! And if it's your first time there, 67 Wine is a great NYC discovery.…
