I don't know what happened to this place, but I just had a very unfavorable experience there. I've used them in the past and been very pleased. But recently, I brought in several necklaces which simply needed some new loops so I could wear them. The new woman they had working there quoted me a price of something like $32.00 for both necklaces, saying that they would need to be soldered. (Really??? Since when does a necklace loop need to be soldered closed?). She had put the loop on, but apparently felt that she should be charging me much more. When I hesitated about the price, she then suggested "How about $28.00?" (So now we have a movable price... red flag) I agreed, then my instincts got a good grip on me and I walked back in and retrieved them, vowing to take my business elsewhere.

Normally in the past, this place has been extremely fair in pricing and service... but I definitely felt that I was getting ripped off. I expected them to charge me much less, as they have done in the past for these very minor repairs. Have had good experiences with the owner, but this new woman turned me OFF. I will not be returning there and will be looking for a new jeweler in the neighborhood. What a shame.

"WATCH" out. Brought my watch in for a battery & was told watch was broken. Maurice the owner said he'd call with estimate. 2 weeks later I called because they had not contacted me & without knowing what was wrong they took a $40 deposit.

It took 4 weeks to get the watch back & when I checked it now the clasp was so loose it wouldn't stay closed. It wasn't loose before. I asked for compensation & owner became very nasty...looked at it a second ; said "can't fix this & "go somewhere else!"

Overpriced.

The staff & owner are very unprofessional & rude.

THE WATCH WORKED FOR 1 1/2 DAYS!!!

I guess if you have a $200 0watch they might be nicer!

Please be warned. I now have to go to another jeweler to get my watch fixed!!!

BE WARNED.

Great neighborhood store.... Always have a great experience here- whether it's looking for new item or having my existing jewelry appraised, they're 100% professional and pleasant.
