Fantastic cut and an amazing service!!!

I actually had my haircut from Maria a while back. She is just amazing. As soon as i got in, the owner and Maria greeted me with warm smile and hello, the owner even offered me coffee!! I showed Maria a picture of the cut i wanted and it came out better than i expected. To be honest, i was a little hesitant to spend $50 for a haircut, why would i when i could get one for $20 or $30 (for example across the street Jean Louis David butchered my hair--the hairdresser didn't even speak english. Then i had to wait to get it redone with a different stylist. By then i left with a totally different haircut and 4inches too short). So looking back that $50 was money well spend and more, oh and the owner even gave me a free shampoo after paying.

I haven't been there since but thats because my hair is still great and its been months. I have send a number of people since.

Stylish haircuts at the best prices

NY Haircutters has become once of my favorite spots in New York! The location is perfect, Upper Westside, easy access to trains/buses and what a great neighborhood. The shop is small and quaint, you feel like you are amongst friends with the very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Alex, the owner is a gentleman and a great host, he always makes sure you have everything you need. Calypso is my favorite stylist, she has been cutting my hair for over 10 years. Always stylish and current, her talent for providing you with the best cut for your age, style and temperament is superb. She approches you as an artist, always thinking of what will be the best cut for you.

BEST HAIR DRESSER IN THE WORLD.

New York Haircutters is an amazing salon. Alex with his crazing but yet amazing personality has kept the shop open and running for over 30 years. With his recent addition to the staff Maria, the salon cant be stopped. Maria is an amazing hair dresser from florida, i know this because i have been using her for over 8 years. She is blessed with a hand that turns everything into gold, including your hair if needed. She does this amazing keratin treatment that will make anyone look like a movie start. If ur hair is freezy or curly, u have to try it. Besides Maria's looks and personality that will make u fall in love with her, she does an amazing job in keeping the salon decorated and together with Alex keeping the salon up and running for the Upper west siders to enjoy. I give 5 starts, treatment is always perfect, always asking if i want coffee or wate, five stars all around, check it out.

• Pros: right next to citarella and fairway, u can shop and go home.. sounds good to me.
• Cons: parking mite be hard to find sometimes..

BEST HAIR SALON EVER

I've been going to this hair salon for over ten years- since I was a teenager. Whatever hairstyle I can dream up- they can make come true. They have an amazing, warm, wonderful staff that are like family by now. I can't say one bad thing about this place. They are number #1 in my book. I take every one of my friends to them and they never disappoint. Reasonable prices and incomparable skills.
