Located on the Upper West Side, Annick Le Douaron and her family, transplanted from France, brought with them their love of well-prepared bistro fare, fresh ingredients, and informal hospitality. La Mirabelle, located at 102 W. 86th St, is a cozy space, but never cramped, always brightly lit and decorated with paintings of rustic Gallic scenes. Le Douaron claims to know everyone who comes in, but will always greet new customers with a familial, welcoming "bonsoir." The Le Douaron family is concerned with only one thing, to see you happily fed. This delightful bistro suits those diners who "still like a tablecloth and civility", to go with thier scrumptious French fare!

Real French food done very well. Wait staff very professional. Wine list good, not large, but very reasonably priced.

A friend introduced my husband and I to this place and I've always had consistently good food and service here. They even sold me on the pate which is delicious( I am not usually very fond of pate). The wine list is very good as well. It is a great warm, relaxed and informal place to take family and friends. The restaurant is good for large groups as they have upstairs seating.

This place is very low key, I have walked by it countless times without noticing it, but once you eat there that all changes- you remember the place for good. This is a real french place where the staff is French. The food is excellent and the wine selection even greater. The price is very right for what you get. The ambiance is quite unique and the place gets crowded earlier, because of the elderly clientel that attends the restaurant. Everyone has a place in the restaurant and you can find seeting just right for you.
