Cute place, great location, reasonable prices. But you might wake up scrubbed and scraped because the sheets are like sandpaper. Beyond awful.

Right in the heart of the west side and near the museums and action is the Hayden Hall Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but had twin beds, a phone, a small bath, sink and toilet, a bureau, a table, and two unmatched chairs. It was very quiet. The only noise came from other rooms. None of the city sounds could be heard. A ceiling fan helped in cooling. If you just want a room to crash in while enjoying New York City, try this brownstone.
Pros: cheap, nearby tourist spots, quiet
Cons: small room, crowded
