I'm Amazed. OK I've never written a review before but I could not resist because this was the facial and wax that I have been dreaming of!! No frills, no pushing products, not a fancy place but wow did she (diana) get the job done. I think she got each and every blackhead on my skin and I have never EVER had such a thorough brazilian bikini wax. My face was red for a day or two which she told me it would be but after that went away it was literally glowing and the wax seems to have lasted longer than any other I've had. Bravo for this tiny little hidden gem!!!

Do not go here. This was truly a painful experience...not during the electolysis, but afterward....the smell of burning flesh during the procedure should have warned me..three days later i have swelling where the electolysis needle went in and scars where Sara burned my face....a very unpleasant experience and I feel others should be warned...

Best Facial EVER!!. I recently went to Sara Savage for a facial because a friend recommended me, and my face has never felt or looked better. Sara was absolutely warm and wonderful, but more importantly, she is truly a skin expert. She gave my face the deep cleaning that it had needed for a while. I have been other laces, but I felt like they more more pleasurable facials. Sara Savage gives your skin a deep cleaning like no one else does. Ever since I got my facial with Sara, my skin has felt clean, clear and healthy, and I couldnt be more pleased. I will definitely be going back for regular facials with Sara. Im, also going to get laser hair removal, as her prices are good and i know im in good hands with Sara Savage!!

Sara is the BEST....PERIOD!!!!!. I have been coming to Sara Savage for years and would never go anywhere else! I have gone to Sara for every service she provides, and no matter what Im getting done, I know she does the best job in the city. Her facials are incredible--she leaves every inch of your face squeaky clean and feeling rejuventaed and refreshed. She is renowned for her waxing, especially her Brazilian bikinis and eyebrows. And i finally just tried laser hair removal for the first time...i have been scared but know I could trust Sara. She proved me right and I am actually even looking forward to my next appt w Sara for laser hair removal! Sara cannot only be trusted with your skin, but she is also a very warm, sweet, and hilarious woman!! I always leave Sara with a smile and miss her when I go too long in between appointments!! I highly recommend Sara for all your skin needs!

Avoid Lasering Facial Hair-very bad experience. I went to get lasered for facial hair and was somewhat nervous when Sara refused to do a test on my arm. After some deliberation, I agreed to do just the chin part of my face (which I was so grateful for) because not only did it burn my skin, it left dark bruising which still has not gone away. Please do not go for lasering of facial hair as my experience was very unpleasant. When I called Sara the next day to complain she shooed me off, as if I had called to complain about something that seemed fairly trivial to her. I will definitely not recommend this place for other treatments based on my experience.

Best Wax and skincare period. I have been to Javon many times and seen both Sara and Diana for facials and waxes. Everytime I go somewhere else for a wax I get an instant reminder of why I should make the trip to the UWS instead of going to another place out of convenience. They don't clog your pores with powder, bruise you out of inexperience or leave you with globs of wax all over at the end. Believe me, this type of thing is standard everywhere else.

I have very sensitive skin and have gone to Sara with so many ingrown hairs after cheaping out and going for a nail salon wax. She treats a wax like a facial making sure the skin is treated properly. The facials at Javon are real facials-don't expect to be wooed by music while someone glops creams on yor face and tries to sell you everything. It's a no nonsense deep cleaning of your skin that's hard to find anywhere else.They also sell the best products. Try the Cosmedix rescue cream-pricey, but oh so worth every penny.

DO NOT GO HERE. sara ansewered the phone three times during my facial. not at all relaxing. a very half assed version of a facial, the next morningi looked in the mirror and had broken cappillaries by my nose...which i didnt not have before. i called and went in to show her and she insisted she didnt cause the broken cappillaries, and shooed me out of the store, no apology, no refund, no offer to mend it

Diana is amazing :-) You can't get a better wax anywhere else!. I have to say I was a little worried to get my first brazilian wax. My friend recommended Javon. Ladies, you know this is a delicate area, but Diana (Sara's daughter) made me feel completely at ease. I went to her a handful of times, and then felt brave to try some of the competition out there. Bad idea, they were not nearly as gifted and experienced as she is! Other places made me break out!!!

Needless to say I went running back to Diana! The wax I just received was ridiculously painless. I felt one moment of a twinge and that was it! Some waxers rip off the wax wrong and the hair rips instead of being pulled from the root - but not Diana! She gets it perfect, and the hair grows in nicely, painlessly, and without ingrowns. She really does a spectacular job, and is clean and thorough.

Also she's done a little electrolysis on some stray hairs for me, and WOW! She doesn't leave a mark. Incredibly precise, she doesn't dig around or leave marks that some other people would with such a device.

Both Sara and Diana are friendly, professional, and make you feel like you're family. I would recommend this place to anyone for any of their services!!!!! (I know my friends all go for a variety of reasons - electrolysis, waxing, eyebrow tinting). A+

Can't go wrong! Best skin care salon in town!. It's personal, fun and very professional. Best value! Won't find a better place to beautify yourself than Javon by Sara Savage. They care about their clients and their clients needs. I've been their customer for seven years and I couldn't be happier :)

Is it possible to have a GOOD waxing experience?. I left a terrific waxer behind in San Francisco only to discover horrible service at most of the day spas I tried on the UWS, until I found Sara Savage. Personable, honest, direct and best of all the most painless wax I've ever had - and she was thorough! I'm never going anywhere else.
