Nasty staff. Not fresh food.. The place looked cute so we decided to try it. What a mistake. The veggies were awful. When we complained that the lettuce was brown and wilted the waiter said "it's fine." The cooked veggies were no better. The sauces they were drowning in could not disguise the fact that they were rotted. The shrimp was old too. The waiter was rude. Don't waste your money.
ALERT!! MOST FOUL FOOD EVER!!. I just ordered form this place last night and I honestly have to say that it is without question the most disgusting, foul Thai food I have ever eaten. I ordered "fresh" spring rolls, which were not made like any I have ever ordered before - the rice paper on the outside was disgusting. The inside was weird and bad - they were TOTALLY AWFUL!! Then the entrees - the soup was thick and overpowering with flavoring.. the entree sauces were thick and salty as well - the flavor was so overpowering and disgusting that I could hardly eat it. What I finally wound up doing was putting the vegetables in a collander, washing off all the sauce, and eating it plain like that. Sad, right? It was. I am not a food snob, nor am I a really picky restaurant patron. I am not even someone who would ever take the time to write a review like this, except for the fact that this food was SOOOO FOUL that I had to go on here and warn others not to make the same mistake I did!
Great Food.
Amazing Thai Iced Tea, great Pad Thai, great service.
overall i loved this place... its not overcrowed, its not fancy, its a cute date spot to just hang out and talk.
Avoid period.. They were attentive at first, but after my food was served I could not get anybodys attention, they were at a round table just to my right! The food was good.
Great Food w/ Great Service. I have visited this Thai restaurant twice and both times the food was impeccable. Their appetizer was sooo good that i almost wanted to order it twice, Okay I did. Our food arrived a short time later. I had the deep fried salmon with sweet and sour sauce and ohhhhh, the sauce was rich, it was on a nice sized plate, they gave the service w/ a smile at all times and the food did not take forever to come out. I enjoyed my experience here and now my other half and I will be going here more often. Great Food with Great Service.....
New York Thai food sucks..... Lemongrass Grill is probably the worst Thai restaurant in the city. Actually, there are really no good Thai restaurants that are good in Manhattan. As a person of Thai descent, I really have to say that the closest Thai food that you can get in New York that comes close to what you can find in other cities like Los Angeles or even Chicago, is Sripraphai in Queens. The menu is extensive and pretty authentic. SEA in both the East Village and Williamsburg have nice decors but the food is only passable. Planet Thailand serves ...Japanese food! What an insult. Pongsiri in Chinatown is just ok. Face it, Thai food in New York basically sucks the big one. Go west, my friends!
