I visited my cousin in New York five years ago and she took me to this restaurant. My stay was only four nights... the food was so good that we went back two other nights for dinner. I still remember how good the four dip appetizer was and the soft warm pita bread. I want to go back to New York just for this restaurant!

And it's been about 40 years! Symposium still serves the same wonderful tarmosalata, same wonderful avgolemono soup, same wonderful moussaka and same wonderful galaktoboureko (phyllo with custard pastry). Same booths and art work. Great attentive service. It's a very wonderful thing when a good thing does not change....or go out of business.

I was not expecting much and I was very pleasantly suprised..Casual, laidback vibe, knowledgeable and accomodating staff, and the food was great...try the octupus appetizer..
