The Scene – Located a stone's throw from Columbia, The Heights is a classic student hangout that offers cheap drinks and loud conversation. In warmer months, large windows usher in a breeze while students cluster around the bar drinking frozen margaritas in a rainbow of flavors like passion fruit. Head up a steep flight of stairs to access the charming, intimate roof deck, which features a retractable rooftop and additional seating. – – The Food – The mostly Mexican menu offers a wide array of inexpensive burritos, burgers, salads and sandwiches. Great space, poorly managed.

The Heights has two different places to eat: an interior with nice big windows that they open in summer and a rooftop. The clientele is overwhelmingly composed of Columbia students.
The food is mediocre and so are the drinks.
The service ranges from ok to downright awful. You get the impression that they must think recently post-adolescent girls in short skirts will keep the place afloat. Maybe they're right, but I'm anxious for someone else to take this space over and capitalize on its great spaces.
- Pros: nice rooftop and airy interior
- Cons: spotty service
One day I won't ever get back

My friends and I went to the Heights bar and grill today and let's just say we we're highly dissapionted. First we walked in what looked like an apartment turned into a restaurant. The waitres was very rude, she told us to sit wherever in a tone that says she didn't give a flying MOUSES BHUTT. We sat down to order and our food took 30 to 40 minutes give and take a few. The lady that was serving us was very unprofessional because she sat down beside us and was eating and would approach us and others with her mouth full. Our drinks never came and so we had to consistently remind her and that took a whole hour. In the end the only thing we were satasfied with was the water and the beautiful location. After that two tumbs down. Pro- price, location and water; con- food and service.

Now if I was a true addıct, I'd be addicted to their food. It is so freakin good I can barely stand it. Fortunately, I do have to be in the mood for something that heavy, but if you love your meat and potatoes, there is no other place like Heights?s Bar and Grill. The price is right and the food is down right awesome. They definately have the cure for what ails you!!!
- Pros: food,service,margarita
