Shopping >Plant Shed New York Flowers
Best Flowers in New York City. Plant Shed has the biggest selection of flowers of any place I have been to in NYC including the flower district. The arrangements are pricey, but will include exotic flowers you've never seen put in a bouquet before. If you are going to get a girl flowers, this will have the unique touch she will appreciate. Just got mom flowers from here as well, she loved them. I was talking to the guy there, he said soon they were planning on setting up discounts for checking in on facebook. Best florist in NYC IMO.
NYC's floral experts.
You can find everything you could possible want here, supplies, plants or flowers, and if they don't have it, they will order from the farms for you!! I've had the greatest experiences here. They do same day delivery on arrangements and have shipped my purchases to my apartment for me when I couldn't carry all my plants on the subway.
The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable, I use them for Valentine's day, birthdays, etc in addition to filling my apartment.
PS - they give coupons through their twitter account :)
Shame On You!.
Shame On You! ** Plant Shed, NYC ** Shame On You!
I spent in excess of 1.5 hrs putting together a $3000+ order with salesperson Javier only to be told at the cash register that the Manager, Marty, refused to honor the prices quoted to me. I explained to the manger that the NEW prices were unacceptable, I had made my selection based on the prices I was quoted. The salesperson, who has been employed with the company for more than 10 years, apologized to me and explained to the manger that if he had misquoted that it was his error not mine, he asked that the prices be honored. The manager said "no, if I do I won't make any money on some of the items". I told the manager that changing the price at the time of purchase is borderline illegal and that if he was going to do so I would buy nothing. The manager, Marty, said "okay". As I was leaving the manager, Marty, told the salesperson that if I would change my mind he would give me a discount. In my opinion this was a scam and I intend to file a report with the BBB. Terrible way of doing business.
Wish I read the recent review. BrawnyJoe had the most realistic review of this place. The older reviews must be from when the location was under some other management or something. The place is stunning, so many plants and flowers, but the price i paid for an arrangement was disgusting. The salesperson (some short portly man) helped me make an arrangement for my girl and kept upping the price. I didn't mind paying for it, the bouquet ended up being quite large, but then i took it home. Most of the flowers DIED IN A DAY. The rest never opened. Prices on plants were higher than other shops or home depot, but they do look good.
I feel like Plant Shed bait and switched me.
I feel like Plant Shed bait and switched me on my Valentines Day order. I ordered what was supposed to be a $120 dozen-rose bouquet using an online coupon. The picture looked amazing - sleek, elegant, modern in a cool vase. What arrived looked like a cheap, tacky bouquet in a cheap, tacky vase and there was even dirt in the bottom of the vase. I called and was told that the picture associated with my order was for their two dozen rose arrangement. The funny thing, though, was that my order and all of my confirmations showed the other arrangement. AND when I looked on the site, the prices were much cheaper than what they had quoted as the regular price on their coupon. I think I got duped by a bait and switch gimmic with them.
I did call them and they assured me that the quality of the roses was top notch and that if I was truly that unhappy with the quality of the roses that they would send a replacement the next day and take this one back - which at the very least would have been extremely awkward. Oops, sorry you got a tacky bouquet yesterday - here's the same bouquet again a day later.
The problem wasn't the roses, it was the arrangement not being what I expected or was shown and the one that was delivered was clearly not worth $120.
Honestly, if it's an important occasion, go somewhere else. I came to work to find a GORGEOUS huge purple orchid, beautifully potted - done by City Blossoms (don't know much about them other than this orchid, but wow - I will definitely be checking them out for future flower orders, though). I was doubly humiliated with my rose purchase.
Lesson learned. Next time I will check out my flower company a little more carefully.
amazing!. the flowers were so fresh and beautiful and the service was wonderful. definitely go to plant shed for all flower, plant, and event needs.
Best for Plants And Flowers in New York.
I got married in september and the plant shed did my wedding. i worked with anthony d. he was excellent! Im not sure about the negative reviwes, but i have a feeling that a competitor may have written that. anthony was very profesional, we set up a free consoltation with him came in and spoke about what we wanted. he came up with some ideas and had his desighners make some samples (which he gave us for free!!!) for us to look at right than and there! we decided on what we wanted, the next day he sent us a detailed proposal with prices for everything we wanted. we decided to go to another flower shop after we got prices from him just to compare. we went to one fo those "high end" shops on the east side gave them pictures of the centerpieces we wanted, and they quoted us a price about 30% higher for the same exact arrangement!!! the flowers came out amaizing at our wedding everything was delivered on time with no problems. since the wedding we went to plant shed and had them help us decorate our new apartment. antonio helped us with the plants, he actually came to our apartment to suggest what plants would work best for us we decided on 3 plants and 3 beautiful pots. antonio transplanted the plants and delivered them to us that verry day.
the plant shed is amaizing!! i wish i knew about them years ago!
tip: the bunches they make and keep outside their store when you walk in are beautiful, cheap and last 2 weeks at least
Great Uptown Plant/Flower Store on the Westside. This place is the best kept secret for green plants, garden plants and flowers and all sorts of flower pots and supplies in NYC. You don't have to schlepp down to the flower district. Gus, the manager (and maybe the owner) is very knowledgable and helpful. They also do corporate offices plant layouts and landscaping. The ground floor is where most of the stock is and during the planting seasons there are 6 to 8 giant racks filled with flats of small plants for the garden or window box --outside on the side walk! If you love impatience (all colours), dusty miller and lobelia to name just a few this place is for you. The second floor has a really nice selection of flower pots: clay, plastic and fancy. Now as for prices, I think for the flats of plants for gardening prices are very competitive. But if you need a large bag or several bags of soil-Home Depot will be cheaper. Can't get to Home Depot then convenience sometimes beats price. Its alway good to shop around.
