CONJUNCTIVITIS ( PINKEYE) NEED I SAY MORE !!!! – On february 17,2012, i visit sade with intentions only to purchase the make up for my brows. Sade ask me to sit in the chair to show me how to properly apply the make up for my brow. After she apply my brow make up and showed me how my brows look, i was pleased. Then sade wanted to show me some eye shadows. I had no problem with that. She proceeded and did my eye make up as well. I was very pleased as well. I purchase the make up for my brows, eyes, and even a lip gloss. Was looking forward to my long weekend, just going to relax and be lazy. Come monday morning i notice my eye becoming red, for no reason !!! By monday afternoon my eye had crazy white discharge coming out, and started to spread to the other eye !!!! I was thinking back what took place for my eye to become infected. I wore no make up over the weekend, no need i stayed in the house. Then i remembered that damn sade make up shop !!! I ran to lenox hill emergency room. They diagnosed me with conjunctivitis ( pinkeye ). The doctor gave me a prescription for my eyes. This is my six day using the medication. My eyes are much better;) THANK YOU JESUS !!!! But sade don't have to worry about seeing this consumer ever again !!!!

I am greatful for your loving kindness in sharing this information with me. I have been in business for over 23 years. I've never received any reports on such a matter. Our brushes are thoroughly cleaned after every client. However, I will endeavor to be even more stringent in cleaning our brushes. Please come in and see me. YES! PLEASE USE DONNA!!! – I had & have always had an awsome experience getting my facial at Sade's. I believe who ever posted the review titled Use Donna??? is just a mean unsatisfied customer who isn't woman enough to speak with the owner 'Sade' if she wasn't satisfied with her service, but instead chose to bash them on line with vile LIES! Donna is one of the most professional estheticians I have ever had the pleasure to meet & goes above & beyond when it comes to sanitation & cleanliness. The nerve of someone to post an out right LIE such as "Lisa M" did in her review. However, we all can't be grown women, some of us have to act like kids & just make sh*t up. The service is impecable, I highly recommend Sade's Skincare.
It's the best place in Harlem for skincare. You will not find service like they give anywhere else.
Use Donna?????? – I had a total of 3 facials with these people. The first time I went I had an outstanding experience. However, there still was an air of negativity floating around. I'm not sure if both Donna and Sade actually like assisting their customers.
The third time I had a facial done by Donna, in the middle of the facial she excused herself and went to the bathroom (I'm not sure if this was done intentionally or by accident but it was disgusting) and as soon as she came back she massaged my face between my nose and my mouth with a couple of fingers that undoubtedly smelled like her crotch. Before I could say anything she quickly rubbed in the product she was using into my skin and the gross odor disappeared. I was too much in shock to believe someone would do such a vile thing. I felt so filthy and insulted that I remained in denial and chose not to believe someone could be so evil because if I thought otherwise and gave into my urges I would have stabbed her. Anyway, so that was my terrible experience with those a$$holes and I won
nice makeup line but........ – without a sample how can i really select a shade that is right for me? with a no refund policy i feel that there should be abundant amounts of samples given out! other than that it is a nice shop, just be sure of your shades!
Very personable staff in relaxing shop – Another of Harlem's little secrets, the service here is so friendly. Great product. And despite other reviews that a true "city girl" should not enjoy the culture and warm neighborhood feel of Harlem, expand your horizons and don't be so close-minded .... please, carefully dismount your high-horse ... you are missing out. I used to reside on the UWS with plenty of fine shops and spas, live a little and head uptown!
Use Donna! – I am only a customer because of Donna . She does my lashes and my eyebrows.And she never lets me walk out the shop half done. If it wasnt for my beautican suggesting me to go there I would have never gone because I use MAC and am quite fond of their products. If I didn't get such good service from her I wouldn't come,the rest of the employees seem standoff.
Great for Ethnic Skin Care – I never go to Harlem but i read about Sade's spa in an write up i read in a magazine.., i was pleasently surprised by the clean professional looking place in a not so great area. I had a wonderful facial by a girl named Alma. The place was very busy when i was there..mostly people coming for makeup application but i did get a chance to meet the owner, who was a very nice friendly african woman.. would definately reccomend for anyone looking for a facial or makeup application for ethnic skin. PS..great products.. i bought the starter kit.
MAC Cosmetics will refund or exchange anything. – I spent $200. I came back the next day to return a face powder. The owner complained the product was used and I could not get a refund. I had bought a facial powder at MAC so I didn't have to look for an alternative at Sade. She then said "all sales are final" which was written no where in the store nor on the receipt. So I said that a gift receipt would do but I could no longer shop there. I told her that I needed a store that would acommodate me. She agreed to the gift receipt. A few seconds later changed her mind and said since I would not be coming back to the store I would only receive a portion of what the powder is worth since I used it. I left the powder. She said it didn't hurt to lose one customer.
