Talented Barbers. Good atmosphere, music, talent and professional barbers. Levels is great!...(I am sure the other locations are great too but I go to the Lexington ave. location). That is the location where T-mac (mentioned by the other reviewer) along with other great talented barbers work. As far as the other review...I have seen women get their hair trimmed and come out looking amazingly beautiful but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Peace :)

Levels for a Nice Haircut or Royal Design By T Mac. I come in from out of state Ky and found this shop. Levels is wonderful because they are definitely the BEST anywhere around. I've tried many places and Levels does it all perfect. Everyone tells me how fantastic my hair looks - but no one know the secret is fabulous Barber by the name of Terrell AkA T Mac or Rell. As if that wasn't enough to want to go there, the shop is well organized and treats you like royalty. I could go on and on.

They learned to cut hair in gardening school. Basically if you are a woman with an afro hair style and you go to Levels on 125th Street for a "trim" you will end up having to shave your head no matter what. I have been growing out an afro and I went to Levels 3 times in the last 2 years to get my afro "evened out a bit". The hair would grow again and I'd forget past experience. It was cut by three different guys and each time I ended up losing my entire afro. They don't know how to cut a woman's afro and will continue to guess while cutting until you are bald or nearly bald. They all knew only one style, a strange mannish style from some unknown decade, punkish with a dome coming out of the middle. They are not up to date with modern afro hairstyles.
