..I'm just not sure.. The prices were good for Manhattan.

I got high lights and they looked decent at first but as they grew out they looked WAY too blonde. Not sure if this is my fault or the stylists'.

The cut was decent. And decent prices!

My stylist, I forget her name, was really friendly... I'm just not sure if I go back if she could tone down the highlights or not. They also were not as fine as other places I have gone to.

Great Haircut!. This place was great.. I got my haircut from Katie...... and she was quick and efficient. She understood exactly how I wanted my hair... and did that and more.. to make it better. She also gave me tips for my hair as she went along.

all of that for a price I was surprised was so reasonable!!

my only complaint: I should have tipped her more!

humiliating customer service. I stopped in to get my eyebrows waxed, as this is one of the only places near Columbia's campus. The woman did a fine job on them, but spent the entire time heavily berating me for not tweezing appropriately. She went so far as to forbid me to ever touch tweezers again, apparently I was just that bad with them. They came out looking great, but I can't bear to set foot in there again for fear of more humiliation.

Take your chances. I have been to Aris Beauty Salon three times to have my eyebrows waxed. The first two times there were no problems. The third time I went a staff person refused to serve me because I reminded her of another customer who did not pay due being dissatisfied with her work. I explained that I do not know who this person was and that I am not her. This staff person yelled at me and refused to serve me. When I left the store I was furious. I have never been treated so poorly at a beauty salon in my life. As far as Im concerned you have a 1:3 chance of being abused at this establishment. Its best to go to a store that actually wants your business.
