Best happy hour!!!cannot beat the prices!!!!!. This is me and my hubby's go to place for happy hour before 7pm, beers for $2? strong margaritas for $3.50 where else in the city can you get those prices, atmosphere is fun, bartenders are friendly. Great happy hour place in the neighborhood, brings in a different mixture of crowd, from edgy to after work hours corwd to neighborhood crowd.; if you need a margarita after work this is the place to go, good tequila, I need to eat something before I come here because after one drink, I am smashed! that's how good the bartender is. Now I eat before hand; the manager and waitresses are friendly.

Also, had a meal with friends after work outdoors too, nice atmosphere

WORST RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK!. I tried to have a few pleasant drinks here but was thoroughly angered. The staff is the rudest that I've ever experienced in New York or elsewhere, and not to mention the food looks unsuitable for rats...just be kind to yourself and walk right by this place, you'll be glad you did.

Friendly Staff Pricey booze. Not bad for the Upper East Side. The staff is friendly, the food is pretty good (well-spiced, but slightly dry. I had the spiced chicken.) And the exotic tequila list is extensive. BUT... it ain't cheap. Check out the tequila menu:There were only two of us for the evening. The bill (with a tip) came to over $130. Ouch!

Worst restaurant/bar in NY!. This is by far the worst restaurant /bar on the UES! Full stop. Period!

It is a slum! Your food is laced with rodent droppings (I am next calling the Dept of Health when i finish this review), the management rude and surley, and the staff awful. I am surprised that anyone would frequent a place like this-- not to mention work there (well I guess unemployment is high enough in NYC). I think if the Health Dept doesn't close them first, the IRS or Dept of Labor will-- given their workplace practices. Just an awful place given some very genial and pleasant places in the neighborhood-- and the crowd is a mix of low-lifes, bikers, and nobodies! Please do yourself a favor and stay far away!

PS: I can see that this establishment has posted a comment about a former "regular"-- well sadly this is not that said "regular". Whatever is responsible for you cutting off this regular, I can assure him that you have done him a favor, and that he is missing nothing-- especially given the rich fabric of drinking and dining experiences within blocks of this dump.

And as of this past Thurs the Dept of Health rated the Mustang with 60 critical violations: No kidding! Grounds to be closed-- Just so you know 28 violations is grounds for the DOH to close a restauarant!

Worst Lunch Experience Ever. I walked by this restaurant early this afternoon with a friend and decided to give it a try, i was having a pretty good experience until i noticed my server was walking to the table, being followed by a older woman yelling and screaming at her in front of us and another table, I can only assume that she was the owner as she was threatening to fire the poor girl, i do not know how the other guests in the restaurant felt but we were totally appalled, obviously this woman does not know that it is not pleasant to come into an establishment to have a quiet lunch , to only have it ruined by the owner yelling and screaming right in front of you. While the food and drinks were good, I will never return, nor will I recommend this place solely because of the lack of professionalism and disregard for her guests that this woman displayed.

Fun night out. Mustang's is a great, fun place on the UES. Came here most recently for Cinco de Mayo and secured a seat at the bar early and had a blast. They had drink specials and were handing out maracas, Coronas and shots. Their frozen margs are delicious and dangerous. Later on we split some quesadillas and empanadas which were solid. Overall, it was a great night and love coming here in the summer when you can sit outside!

One of my favorite spots. Whenever i'm on this side of town, I make it a point to stop in at Mustang Grill. The food and menu selection is perfect and honestly, I could eat everything on it. The cocktail menu is extensive and provides drink choices for anyone's taste. My girlfriend's favorite is the Blushing Geisha, also make with Ty Ku and I like the liqueur with some tonic water. If you haven't made it here yet, make a point to come out.

Shots, Shots Shots!. Whenever I find myself on the Upper East Side during a weekend night I also stop by here for a few margaritas and some yummy shots. My fave is the the Gang Green shot with citrus vodka and TY KU- goes down so smoothly. Great place to pre-party at!

never disappoints. My girl loves this place so we're here at least once a month. I guess we're regulars now and the waitresses are dope, always helpful and what not. Most recently Jen...i think her name was suggested the winter vacation with tyku to go with our meal. The wifey could not stop raving about it, 4 drinks later and I had to carry her outta mustangs. I'm not gonna lie tho it was pretty good but maybe next time two drinks will be the max.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. This neighborhood tequila house/grille is literally two blocks away from my apt, smack dab in the middle of (in my opinion) one of the most exciting and up and coming neighborhoods on the fabulous island of Manhattan. I will admit, I have given this place a visit once or twice for drinks during the summer when it was still tolerable to sit outside. Unfortunately, the service was less than desirable this time around.

This evening, I brought my dad to Mustangs to grab a quick bite and a drink only to apologize at the end of the meal for an unacceptable experience. Not only did our server disregard our table and not take our order in a timely fashion, he stood at the table directly next to ours and proceeded to chat with them about random topics for over 20 minutes (and I’m not embellishing) when he had yet to even take our order. I soon got the attention of the manager, thinking that he would defuse this problem and perhaps speed up the process of our meal, yet he seemed to care less than our server did about the level of service that we were receiving.

It’s unfortunate that our neighborhood is forced to put up with this type of establishment that does nothing more than take up space in the middle of our upbeat little strip. My advice? Beef up the customer service, and tackle some serious issues of laziness.
