It's hard to take everything in when you first enter this partner in crime with "Eat," the Eli Zabar cafe next door. Predominantly stocked with kids' knick-knacks, every available space is filled without seeming cluttered.
The Goods
An impressive array of charm bracelets; beautiful holiday cards and ornaments; a variety of Eloise gear, from lunchboxes to pillows. Many items are on the small side--all the better to fit neatly into the space available. There's fun stuff for kids in the kitchen like Pooh Bear sippy cups and kid-sized place settings, and a selection of bathroom-brighteners like soap pumps in the shape of frogs and ducks. This is the kind of place where it's better not to have a firm idea of what you're after. Just come in and browse. You'll find something.

E. A. T. Gifts is part of the Zabar Eli's Manhattan conglomerate that is known all over the city for high quality excellent food at high high prices. E. A. T. Gifts is a place where you can get lovely gift baskets, chocolates and candies for gifts that suit any occasion. The people will help you pick out something as pleasing to the eyes as it will be to the palate. Don't forget to bring a credit card with a high limit, though!

E.A.T. Gifts has a great array of gift items primarily for kids but many of the items here can be used as fun gifts for adults. My daughter has bought many charms for a bracelet she has been working on. Some nice craft items and lots of little knick knacks. A fun place to shop although the line can be a bit long at time.

E.A.T. Gifts is located on 81st Street right next to the food place of the same name. There are lots of neat little knick knacks and cute little toys. Girls seem to love the bracelet charms. A nice place to buy a gift and any East Sider will appreciate a gift certificate from E.A.T. Gifts. PROS: Nice selection CONS: service is a little slow, layout is cramped
