“The food is delish, the lighting is just right, the service is always friendly, but the greatest feature for coming to Arriba Arriba is the margaritas!”
“The waiter was nice about the incident but the Manager (RAUL SARMIENTO) was not as generous.”
One of my faves. I've been to all three Arriba Arriba's in NYC, all three are really good but the one on 9th Ave has to be the best. This one was pretty good too. Recommended if your in the area.

Every year, we take great pride on celebrating The Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. On this date, a small group of Mexican soldiers defeated a formidable French army that was twice its size. Therefore, we host a joyful event celebrating this glorious victory with traditional Mexican cuisine, Margaritas, Tequila Specials, sexy Shot Girls, outgoing bartenders, Spanish & English Music, and fun gifts for all customers-including piñatas, sombreros, T-shirts, shot glasses, and much more…
Don't be fooled that it's just another delivery place. After years of walking past this place, I decided it was time to try it. I had thought it was just another delivery place on the UES thinking they knew how to do Mexican food. It is actually quite good Mexican. I always get the enchilladas, but my boyfriend tries new things each time we go and sometimes we are disappointed, but for the most part it's good! No draft beer though...boo!
The best mexican Food in the city. My husband and I have been going to Arriba Arriba on 3rd Ave since we were dating, 11 years ago. We would go every single Friday night, have the best fajitas and frozen margaritas ever. This is what kept us coming back week after week. 11 years and two kids later, we are still coming!!!! Unfortunately, we don't live in the hood anymore but try to make as often as we can. One way to determine if your Mexican restaurant experience is going to be good is through the chips. If they are greasy, forget it, the whole meal is ruined. Arriba's chips are NEVER greasy. The guacamole is awesome too. Try it with jalepenos!! This is funny story, we were at Arriba the weekend I went into labor with my first child and they couldn't bring me enough jalepenos!!! So if, you are ready to give birth....go to Arriba! Ok, enough of that. If you are young, old, dating, partying, married, celebrating, whatever excuse......if you LOVE Mexican...go to Arriba. It is simply the best. BTW, ask for Julia, she is an awesome server, very friendly and accommodating!

DO NOT GO HERE!. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The ceiling caved in on us during our dinner and drenched us, our food and drinks in dirty water. The manager was HORRIBLE, in addition to not apologizing, he got nasty when we asked for comped drinks since the ones we had ordered were RUINED!!! I have worked in several restaurants and would NEVER treat customers this way. The manager refused to cover our dry cleaning bills for our ruined clothing. IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! I have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a restaurant ever.
WORST DINNER EVER. The night started with watered down margaritas and got significantly worse from there. At $40 a pitcher, you would think that there would be some alcohol in the drinks. Midway through dinner, I luckily stood up from my seat. Not even a minute later, a wall ornament holding a lit candle fell off the wall, bounced off the chair, and struck my fiance in the leg. The wax from the candle was all over the chair, my jacket, and my fiancee's purse. The waiter was nice about the incident but the Manager (RAUL SARMIENTO) was not as generous. He explained that this was not intentional but barely offered an apology and could really care less that the furnishing fell off the wall and caused so much damage. We have never been to a place where the Management cared so little for their customers. He obviously had no formal training in people or management skills. We have never been to a place where furnishings have fallen off the wall and then the Management acts like they could really give a damn. How does a place keep attracting customers by acting this way??? We have the pictures to prove this and will be reporting them to the BBB(not that Raul cared that we would do this). I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH - AVOID THIS PLACE! It is what it is - mediocore food (at best) with watered down drinks (stick to beer) but don't expect anything above that.
Loved it!!!. Loved it! My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to go after we saw a show. Since Hannah was in town we wanted somwhere close and picked Arriba Arriba from his iphone. So glad we did. I knew right away when I tasted the salsa that the food would be good. My husband who's not a big fan of Mexican food loved his chorrizo and steak dish. I got a chicken borrito and it was really good! The Margarita's were almost too good since we ended up spending more on those than our food ($54 on drinks $39 on food). Loved the atmosphere. From the outside, we almost turned around, but I'm glad we didn't. Service was great. They didn't rush or bother us, but if we needed something they were there. We will most definitely go back! The food was great and very reasonably priced...average dish about $15.
Best Mexican food!!!. This is my first choice for mexican in ny! probably the best i've had on the east coast. I recommend the fajitas. They make both chicken & tuna and they're both incredible. The sangria was good too. I like the atmosphere, warm and classy without being too formal or trendy. The staff was very nice and friendly to me. I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place other than it can get crowded at times.
