Worst service I've ever experienced. Asked the manager to change the dreadful Euro-blare music. He said, "You can pay your check and leave." Was essentially thrown out, a check immediately proffered. Couldn't talk to him, he kept walking past, ignoring me. No chance to order dessert and coffee, no one was waiting for the table. The bartender was even more hostile. I was ejected. One guide cites service here as "Parisian indifference." That's being generous. Food isn't worth going there for either.

Maybe because it was Sunday, maybe because it was Father's Day. It felt like the staff was doing you a favor when they served a roll or refilled a water glass. Mediocre would be kind. Boring would be more on point. A waste describes the check. Dull, dull, dull without any imagination. Really sad.

My fiance and I end up here at LEAST once a week, especially during warm weather. Service is fine and friendly, and whether you're in a rush or you want to take your time, no problem. This place is the polar opposite of Cafe d'Alsace, where you have no elbow room, are rushed in and out, and are upsold at every possible chance. The food is always great: So fresh, and prepared in a way that's at once authentic, and creative. Even the roasted half-chicken with sauteed spinach and whipped potatoes is a nice surprise, and that's about as boring as you can get. Try the vol-au-vent for your appetizer, if you have the calories to spare.
