User review by taz1976. A great place to watch a game or just strike up a nice conversation with someone. Great selection of music, which is just loud enough to enjoy, but won't have you going deaf.

A classic Irish bar with a friendly, laid-back feel.. The Scene
Ryan's Daughter (named after a David Lean film about an Irish woman who falls for a British soldier) draws a more eclectic crowd than the typical Upper East Side bar. Weeknights find a core group of regulars the bartenders know by name--or at least by drink. On weekends, the bar transforms into a bustling mix of local professionals in their late 20s to 40s.

The Draw
A lively jukebox featuring favorite sons U2 and Van Morrison provides the soundtrack, while a pool table, dart board and mini-basketball game keep the action going. Try the house brew for a smooth, sweet pale ale, or sample the Gaelic coffee as you munch on free potato chips. You won't find a lot of gimmicks or glitz here, just good drinks and good company to unwind with.

Comfy. Let me just say, this is one of my favorite places in New York. It is understated and pleasant, with a great group of locals, young and old, and a staff that could not be friendlier. And how can you beat a place with "turkey night".....free roast turkey every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. So come, have a drink, a sandwich, and a chat with the fabulous staff at this local "everybody knows your name" locale.
