The Scene
This charming Irish pub pulls off the impossible: 12 TVs are on hand to sate the sports fan, but they're placed in two unobtrusive rows--easily visible, but just high enough on either side of the bar so as not to intrude on the relaxation of other drinkers. Thus, without a whit of atmosphere compromised, Bailey's achieves the perfect living room feel, complete with tin ceilings, wood floors, green boothsand a gem of a varnished, antique wood bar.
The Draw
The only time the crowds near capacity is during wintertime weekends. Most other times, folks seeking haven in a peaceful pint and a chat should look no further.

I've lived in the UES for many years and just stumbled across Bailey's. It's a really cool place. Very chill and down to earth, and they have loads of TVs and they have the sport package. The bartenders are always really friendly and the beer is always cold. Their prices are good too. I'll be going back for sure

Hidden Gem on York Avenue. Usually not too busy, but nice crowd of regulars. They have the NHL Package, Baseball package and Football on their satellites, and during the week tend to show alot of Detroit games. The weekend bartender is a Boston fan, but puts the local teams on the big screen. No Food, but they have a great collection of takeout menus from the neighborhood. Love the spot and will keep coming back.

Quiet is an understatement. This place is dead, and the minute someone gets a little rowdy, the bartender is kicking people out. If you want somewhere to grab a quick drink with no excitement, you've found your bar. Otherwise, I do not recommend it.
