Great ambiance, Fun league. I have played in their Monday night league this past fall and really enjoyed it. Other members were very friendly and had a good time. I have been there many times outside of league night and have always found it to have a great atmosphere for shooting pool. All of the staff are very friendly and their beer prices can't be beat. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys pool in a relaxed atmosphere.

What's all the hub bub???. I've been reading the reviews of Eastside Billiards...I must say, I can't agree with what some of you are saying...I've been to Eastside Billiards a number of times over the years (starting when there was an arcade) and I must say I have NEVER received anything but great customer service...Can't say that I know who's the manager and who's not, but I can say that that out of the 80-90 times I've been there over the years, not once have I ever walked out saying "I'll never come here again" or without my ID (they've never held on to mine)...I guess different people have different opinions...as far as I'm concerned Eastside Billiards a great place to go and shoot some pool, and I would recomend it to anyone...

Great pool hall. I have been to this place several times over the past couple of years as I live near by and always enjoy it. I was just there to watch the Cotto boxing fight and the place was packed! They only charge $5 to watch which is cheaper than all the other places around. Also, can't beat the $2.50 beer special!! The bartenders are very friendly and the music was great. I met the owner Jerry several times and he is a real good dude who tries to accomodate everyone. I would recommend this place toanyone who likes to shoot pool in a relaxed atmosphere. Ladies night on thursday is always very busy too.

Horrible Customer Service and Never give them your ID EVER!. WARNING: NEVER GIVE THESE GUYS ANY FORM OF ID YOU DONT CARE TO LOSE!

I know what constitutes a good pool hall and a good business. Eastside Billiards is neither of these. It is run incredibly poorly by a manager with ZERO common sense, and a bartender with NO customer service abilities. Here is my experience: 1) A 100 step climb to get into the poolhall. 2) On the way in we notice a beer special.. we ask for it, but find out that the bartender forgot to put the bottles in the fridge, so they are warm. Plus, the manager is sitting at the bar drunk, and is witness to this yet does NOTHING except take a dollar off the warm beer cost. 3) We order a table and the girl asks for an ID to hold on to. Warning: NEVER GIVE THESE GUYS ANY FORM OF ID YOU DON'T CARE TO LOSE! I made the unfortunate mistake of giving them my drivers license. 4) 2 hours later we go to check out... We get to the desk and the manager and bartender are no where to be found. 5) The bartender and manager are MIA for 20+ minutes and we wait (and accrue more time on our bill). 6) Ultimately they return from a 30+ minute cigarette break (no one was watching the entire pool hall during this time) 7) I go to cash out and THEY GAVE MY ID TO SOMEONE ELSE! 8) They ask me to try to chase down the last person, so I run down the flight of steps but to no avail. 9) I ask what they intend to do and the manager then puts a hand on my shoulder and kindly tells me he plans to do NOTHING but wait to see if someone will bring my ID back. Meanwhile, I call days later and the bartender who gave my ID away is still working there which is bad management and he should have at least offered to reimburse me for my bill and time. I was ID-less for a week (and couldn't drive my car, cant get into bars, and CERTAINLY wont ever come back to Eastside Billiards). Do yourself a favor... pass by this place. There's other places to shoot pool that don't have people like this working there or owning the place.

We are very sorry for your ID being misplaced, however you failed to mention that we RETURNED your ID later that week. Mistakes do happen and we apologize for your inconvenience. You also failed to mention that we offered to pay for a new ID and offered to give you free pool as a way of saying sorry. Our beer is always very cold and the cheapest in the area. If you compare our pool prices to ALL pool halls in Manhattan you will find we are the cheapest!!! Again we are sorry for your unfortunate experience but you should at least be honest if you are going to leave a bad review.

Best Pool Hall In NEW YORK!!!!!. Easily the most friendly place to shoot some stick! Their tables are well maintained. Staff is real easy going, friendly and knowledgable about pool. Best prices in town, period. They also always have really good music which makes it a fun place to hang, have a few beers, chill with your buddies. Also a real great date place. Gets busy on the weekends and their ladies night is fun. If you want an old-school yet clean, upscale pool hall, this is the place. The beer/liquor places can't be found anyhwere else in the upper east side. Cheers.
