First Impressions...Quality business speaks for itself

Professional, Teamwork, Caring, and Inexpensive...

This is MY story… My dad passed this Christmas 12/25/2010. The Organ Donator Network referred First Avenue Funeral Services. My family & I did not know what to expect, we NEVER made funeral arrangements before. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a well groomed soft spoken gentleman. I believe his name was Michael. The place was quite, clean and did not smell considering the rest room is right through the entrance.

We were taken upstairs and welcomed again, this time by 2 young ladies Stephanie & Tanya (hope I spelled your names correct). The ladies were dress & groomed professional and answered EVERY additional question we asked, although we were being interviewed by Michael. Death is a money making business so there’s no time for error or stuttering when money is involved! You want this last day to say goodbye to your love one to be perfect, it’s the same as planning for a wedding. This is a small place BUT it’s a VERY VERY busy one. The phones were ringing off the hook and not one time did these ladies forward the calls to a voice mail. The office is small but comfortable. The staff made us feel like we were making arrangements for something else, sure not a funeral. Jan 4th the first day of my dad’s service my family, co-workers & neighbors were shocked. My father looked just like himself and I know for a fact this made the ceremony and took a lot of pressure off our backs. I’ve been to funerals before and at times had to do double takes because the deceased did not look like his or herself. If you’re gonna say your goodbye’s you are expecting that person to look like the person you knew. From the first day walking through that door until that evening leaving out, it was a GREAT experience. First Avenue Funeral Services & ALL staff members are POLISHED, and who’s not looking for that quality?????

On the date of March 18th 2011, we used their services again to say goodbye to my Granma Mrs. Bailey We love & miss you! Thanks Terry my granma looked beautiful! OMG and I can’t forget Vincent, thank you soooooo much for ALL the beautiful flower arrangements.

First Avenue Funeral Service helped me cope with the lost of my dear friend in so many ways.....

They were always there to answer my calls no machines I always had live help with a sweet caring voice on the other end .....

The Funeral Service answered all my questions and concerns with the wake and they respected and accommodated my dear friends religious beliefs .

Many of the viewers commented to me how courteous and professional the staff were

Excellent Service very caring made us feel like family!!! Used to go to Ortiz Funeral Home, would never go backever knew how a real funeral should be handled. I would recommend this place to everyone!!!
