What a terrible experience using Chase Manhattan Bank at the 3 Times Square Location. They were always very hard to get ahold of and I always dealt wtih so many different people that I lost track of them, and feel I also lost privacy. They also lacked in positive communciation, and reinforcement. It was almost like a chore dealing with them, instead of wanting to interact with them and learning about their services. I feel that they didnt give me the time that the should have, as well as the effort, and I feel that THEY could take a lesson or 20 from CITIBANK. I was their customer, and I didnt feel they treated me that way at all.

It's nice to find a bank that tries to make their plans work for you. Top to bottom, they always have plenty of good staff around. Their plans are OK, and pretty easy to understand. They are clearly interested in signing you up for many things (financial advising, credit cards, etc.), but they take no for an answer very gracefully. Also, they gave me a Select Banking account for the first 6 months without fees even though my balance isn't at the minimum. And phone help is excellent. Citibank should take notes.
