“Great pizza, great location”
“Their menu was extensive and I didn't know what to order, so the waiter recommended his favorite pie, a white pizza with sun dried tomatoes and basil.”
“enjoy ice cold beer the best sausage, onion and pepper sandwich and most of all thin crust brick oven pizza to die for, the best in manhatten.”
“Have been to John's many times (Time square & Bleeker st.) it is simply the BEST pizza made anywhere in the city!”
“John's has a small menu of traditional Italian fare all of which is good.”
“good pizza nice people it is a good place to eat would go to again”
“Everyone knows how good the pizza is here but please, next time you go back to John's, order the Chicken Parmesan!”
“The wait staff were very friendly and were very attentive to my table ( party of nine) However, I will not be coming back.”
“knew of the place in the village and was pleasantly surprised when we came in because the place is huge.”
“More than 70 minutes later we were finally seated, but noted that a number of other parties checked in and were seated before we were (and we didn't have a big party -- just three people).”
OVERATED!!! The pizza took forever, it was crowded and crappy. Save your money and find a corner pizzaria, cheaper, better and less crowded
WE NEED HELP FINDING A WAITER'S NAME.
okay, so the food was INCREDIBLE and i thought the service was spectacular. now.. we have a problem! okay, so there was an extremely, i mean EXTREMLEY attractive waiter. i need to set my daughter up with him. he was very tall, with dirty blond hair, and large biceps. he had short, spiked-ish hair. I would say he was at least 6 foot. he was young, probably in his early 20's. Please help us find his name. if it is needed, he was working on the night of saturday october 1. Around 6:00 pm.
PLEASE HELP US!! HE COULD BE THE ONE!!!!!!!!!
If you're in NYC you gotta go. We took our two teenage daughters to NYC for their first time. Having been in the city several times myself, my only request was that I get some real NY pizza. We arrived at John's Pizzeria at 11:20 A.M. on saturday and there was already a short line outside the door. At 11:30 the doors were unlocked and our party of seven was quickly seated. Our first impression was how large and attractive the interior was. Being on the site of a deconsecrated church the ceiling was very high and covered with stained glass. The wall behind our table was decorated with a large mural depicting scenes of the city. The young people in our group said "this place is cool". We ordered drinks, a large pizza with fresh basil, a spinach salad and a vegetarian whole grain pasta dish. As we waited for the food we noticed that all available tables had filled up. Our meal arrived promptly and all conversation ceased as we dug in. Soon it became obvious that we needed more pizza so we ordered another large, same as the first. The simple tomatoe, cheese and basil pizza was delicious and pleased everyones taste. The second pie arrived quicker than I expected and was also quickly gone. The thin crust pizza satisfied our hunger without leaving us too bloated to face a marathon afternoon of walking midtown Manhattan. The pasta and salad were also fresh and delicious with unique, tasty ingredients. Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive, especially considering the very busy lunch rush. We felt the prices were very reasonable for all that we got ($18 per pie). My only dissapointment was that they didn't have a large t-shirt for me to buy so I got a ball cap to take back to Ohio. So now when people see the hat and ask about John's Pizzeria I tell them "if you're in NYC you gotta go."
great pizza. This place has great pizza, always great. The vibe can be noisey and crazy, not in a good way, but I keep coming back for the pizza. SO GOOD
great pizza. Excellent lunch spot for those of us who have to work in the tourist mecca of NYC. Always great service, and good pizza. Try their white pizza....delicious
Real Pizza. I've been eating John's pizza for years and I love this place. It is pricey, but in my opinion, I don't think there is a better place for pizza anywhere in NY.
Best Pizza in NYC. Eat this Pizza. Sausage is homemade and out of this world. Pricey, but well worth it.
AMAZING!!. So my review might be a little biased b/c we ate with the owners cousin`and we were there for a private party (we visited twice), but it was Amazing! The everything was fantastic! They have a variety on their menu: wings, pizza, salads, sandwiches/paninis, salad. The place was Very crowded, by the time we left the line was down the street, so the servers were busy, but as a server I understood and I enjoyed the company I was with so I didn't mind. The interior is beautifully decorated, it is an old cathedral. Great location, great food, great atmosphere. I want to go back to New York just to go back there. Definitely recommend this place!
Terrible Pizza & Over Priced...Simply Not Good!.
Pizza was not good at all!
Thin semi burnt crust with a few scattered toppings left us feeling cheated out of $26! Seriously there are MUCH better eats in NYC!
Don't waste your time or money!
