The Scene – Bangkok meets Broadway at Danny's Grand Sea Palace. Walk past the excellent Thai restaurant in the front to find the Skylight Room, an 80-seat facility and the largest cabaret stage in NYC. Reservations are required, but you'll be rewarded with a table that accommodates everyone in your party. Cover for Skylight shows is sometimes free, sometimes much more and always with a two-drink minimum. An intimate piano bar--never a cover or minimum--is a long room with bar stool seating and space for 15. – – The Draw – Tourists, Broadway performers, Thai cuisine…

So Missed

by Cece61

My husband and I loved Danny's. We still talk about our dates there. Loved the food, music and all the wonderful people. Have not found anything like Danny's since it closed!

Thanks for the memories...

by chorikidanny

We loved Danny's. The back room. Blossom Dearie. The piano bar. The cabaret. The food was okay. The bar was great. Many a birthday party. Many a night after work.

Sadly, they closed the door back in January of 2008.

Thanks for the memories.

Restaurant good for kids too

by dandmarcum

I went to tavern on the green w/ my 3 kids on my birthday and they acted like we were underdressed tourists. The next night we went to Dannys front restaurant area. The atmosphere was dark and subdued. They were very friendly and seated us fairly quick. The food was fabulous and the service was exellent, good humored, and treated us like real people w/ feelings. They found out about my treatment at tavern, and even sang me happy b-day... by all means go to the restaurant!!!!I've traveled far and wide mostly w/o my kids and been some great places and I am telling you GO TO DANNYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pros: reasonable, classy, very friendly
  • Cons: none
