Wonderful Boutique Hotel in downtown NYC. We spent six nights at the Casablanca Hotel in NYC for my wife's birthday. The location is perfect, just steps from Times Square yet just far enough away to get away from the noise and crowds of said Square. The staff was extemely helpful, gracious and friendly. My favorite Hotel in Seattle is The Inn at the Market and Casablanca had a lot of the same feel and ambiance. I highly recommend it for people who like the boutique feel in a hotel.

User review by tralee. Casablanca is a lovely unprententious hotel with discreet and unofficious service. The rooms are well appointed and clean. We will certainly return to this charming property

Middle Eastern hospitality at its best.. The Scene
The leafy second-floor common room of this Midtown hotel says it all. It's decked out with statues of carnivorous animals, a fireplace, a large-screen TV and a massive mural of the Moroccan town Casablanca. Upbeat music plays from speakers overhead. Guests get the hint that this is more than just the city's only Moroccan-themed hotel. It's an experience in and of itself.

The Details
The service here is top notch. The 24-hour common room is furnished with an endless amount of snacks, and every afternoon there is an on-the-house cheese and wine reception--friends of guests are invited, too. The 48 rooms all include complimentary water and chocolate and contain minibars, cable TV and VCRs. One of the most unique services is the nightly turndown. When you are ready for bed, a maid will come in, fluff your pillows and fold back your blankets.

A Wonderful Stay!. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and hospitality. The staff was always willing to bend over backwards for any request. The room was nice. We especially liked the large bathroom with nice tile and the roomy closet. Although we were close to Times Square, the rooms were absolutely quiet. The free coffee/tea/water/cookies/croissants in the lounge were a wonderful extra, along with the free internet access. A lovely stay!

first class. Congratulations on a first class hotel, and thanks to Joe and all the staff! Have our room ready next April. We're already planning. Emails with questions welcome. The entire staff really did a terrific job for us. Thank You. Everything was better than I ever expected. The staff really treats you as a VIP guest.

Can't beat the location. Great location just off Times Square, 1.5 blocks to subway entrance. Staff were very friendly and the free food was great. We often stopped at 'Rick's Cafe' after a day on the streets to get some coffee, cookies, etc. Only complaint is that the mattresses on the beds were on the firm side. The room was small...but it's New York and I expect that.

small, but quaint. We came here for a romantic getaway weekend. Things turned out great in the end, but began on a very disappointing note. The Superior room was a little bigger than a closet. Day 2 we upgraded to a King sized bed and it was much nicer, though still a bit small. The breakfast was fabulous and they keep it open till 11am (great for late sleepers). The location can't be beat. The staff is among the best I've ever seen, helpful and friendly.

Cosy Times Square hotel. We decided that as natives of NYC it was a sin to have never experienced Times Square on New Year's Eve. The Casablanca had a wonderful evening planned for us; they coordinated with Tony's restaurant (next door) to prepare a great dinner filled with good food and singing. Afterwards, we all went to the roof of the hotel, where we had flowing chanpagne and enjoyed a spectacular view of Times Square and the countdown of the ball. We were treated to breakfast the next morning in Rick's Cafe, which has a cozy outdoor section and even a fireplace. We'll have to be tourists in our own town more often!

Fantastic. This hotel is perfect. The staff was informative and caring. The wine and cheese at the end of the day was relaxing. The breakfasts were simple but filling. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The location of the hotel was central and within walking distance of everything. I'd go back to this hotel in a New York minute.

A blessing. We reserved a room at another hotel and left because of how bad it was. We stumbled upon the Casablanca and it was a blessing. Beautiful hotel wonderful staff. Will never stay anywhere else when in New York City. Walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Central Park. The staff helped us plan our outings told us which subway to use and where the best places to go were.
