How can anyone rate this agency as less than EXCELLENT?
I was contacted by Larkin. I found them to be professional, caring and extremely interested in promoting my background and finding me a position.
I met with Nancy. She is precise, professional and totally professional. She had a lot of great suggestions, ideas and was not afraid to sit and talk and share. You walk away feeling respected and in totally good hands.
The other office personnel were equally friendly, polite and very professional.
If you are a SERIOUS applicant looking for a professional position then you MUST give Larkin a try. I truly look forward to finding a great position.
Nancy - you're the best!!!!!
I'll never forget my experience with Larkin Employment Agency. The staff there were very pleasant and polite. Amy was very accommodating, she goes above and beyond the call of duty to find you exactly what you are looking for. But what really impressed me most was the honesty that is given with this agency. If employment hasn't been found for you it isn't because their not trying its just the luck of the draw. I would go as far to say that Larkin's will not let you walk away unhappy. I would definitely recommend this agency to anyone who's looking for employment.
If you are looking for work in the NYC area Larkin is a great place to find an awesome opportunity. The staff was very accomodating and worked very hard to find me the perfect fit. I recommend them without a second thought .
perfect place with great helpers. If you are looking to work in the medical field, Larkin Agency is the best place!
I wish there are other places like LARKIN.
GOOD EXPERIENCE – PROFESSIONAL, OPEN AND HONEST STAFF.
GOT A JOB.
Had a very good experience here. – I also read some of the bad reviews here and was not expecting much on my way to the agency. I had never been to an employment agency before and I really did not know what to expect -- my worst fear was that I'd be scammed into something.
When I got to the office I was greeted kindly by a nice receptionist and asked to fill out some forms. So far, so good. As I sat and wrote, I overheard staff in other rooms placing various applicants into jobs -- I heard that so-and-so was just placed into a job and that XYZ office wanted to hire someone. All talk was about various people's resumes, references, and job prospects. Another good sign. Maybe I'm not about to be scammed after all.
When I finally met with Nancy I found that she was kind and wanted to do everything she could to help me promote my career. She said she thought I was smart and capable, and immediately called two prospective employers and gave me glowing reviews. I got an interview the very next day.
Unfortunately it turned out that I could not accept the offer, but I felt so grateful for the recommendation and for Nancy's work in getting me the interview in the first place.
I suspect that some of the people who gave bad reviews may not have been very strong applicants, and that's why they did not get placed. It's true that the agency does not place temporary positions. But if you are an educated, well-spoken, presentable applicant with relevant experience and can make the time commitment, speak to Nancy and she will do her best to help you.
Positive Experience – I read the negative reviews here before I visited this agency and was a little skeptical but had nothing to lose but time. I found this office to be the total opposite of the negative reviews. I got there early to see what the atmosphere was like. I didn't see or hear anything that appeared disorganized. Calls came in, I heard conversations and never were any of the staff unprofessional.
I also found Nancy to be the total opposite of what I read. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed and sounded like she knew was she was talking about. She spent a lot of time with me and was open and honest about my future employment prospects, which I appreciated. I didn't want someone to make false promises, I wanted to know if this move was worth pursuing.
I have not yet gotten a job though them but I also don't call them constantly. I keep in touch and hope for the best. My experience with Larkin was a very positive one and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them.
Pleasant and Effective – I recently had the pleasure of meeting the staff at Larkin Employment Agency. I found them to be professional, courteous, and thorough. If you are seeking employment in these tough economic times, this is the agency you need to be affiliated with. Nancy was very attentive and found me a position that best suited my qualifications. She is the best!
Reconsider – I'm shocked to read the unhappy opinions! I've dealt with Nancy /Larkin Agency for several years. I went from temp to permanent to management with Nancy's help. She has solid experience and an understanding of what the Medical Field wants. She's bottom line so just have your information together when you speak with her. Be clear on what you're looking for and just let her know. She knows how to create a good match for you and your next employer.
Worst Headhunter in the City – This employment agency is beyond inefficient. It is outdated, poorly taken care of, poorly staffed, and truly disappointing. It is family run (enough said) and its employees are truly incapable of delivering good customer service. I was there not long ago and had to deal with the rudest woman and her even ruder daughter. I would not recommend this hellhole to the worst of my enemies...don't bother. And if you do decide to go, get used to the following as Nancy's reply to everything: "They are still reviewing resumes. Give me a couple of days..." Pft.
