only moving company I use. Had to plan a move for a client with two weeks notice. I did take care of the packaging but needed professionals for furnitures, arts, etc. Some was going to a furnished apt and some to storage. I worked with Tal who helped me through the whole process and ended up using their Elite service. Movers were great, on time, didn't break anything and all the paperwork was taken care off with both buildings. All of this was set up by FlatRate in under a week. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Go with FlatRate Movers, leave your friends alone!. All right, for disclosure's sake, I just copy/pasted this review that I wrote for them on another site. For what it's worth, I actually had to create an account with Citysearch in order to post this review.

That should tell you that I felt these guys deserved at least that slight inconvenience of having to take that additional step in order to get their name out, right? After all, I work hard, and my success depends on how good a job I do and how much others appreciate what I do. So I felt posting this review would help them continue to do well because they helped me out in a jam that I may have contributed to myself!

But the review is pretty much the same I wrote on Yelp. Here it is....

Just had a move yesterday... long distance at that, interstate but long distance. In fact this was the first time I used professional movers to move my things.

Despite initial glitches, the move went great!

Allan Roberts was extremely thorough and helpful in handling my account.

The movers, an Israeli guy (can't remember his name) was good, and his crew was very polite, cheerful and they worked great as a team. After all, ANY moving company is only as good as it's employees/labor, and these guys held up the image of the company well.

My contract actually had some issues that presented themselves in the morning of the move, which sort of set me into scramble mode. However, Allan and FlatRate Moving stepped up to the plate and took care of the situation. The ease with which this move went IS the reason people should hire movers... the stress is not worth it!

Don't use Flatrate for international moving. If you're looking for international moving from US to China, my recommendation is 'NO'. Seriously, the service does not match up with the price tag. I moved from New Jersey to Shanghai end of last year. Like most of the people moving overseas, there are a lot of unknowns. I was looking for a moving company

who understand some of the challenges and was able to save customers some of the hassels. So despite of the much-higher price tag, i picked Flatrate moving,

partly because of their years in business and partly because of some of the good domestic moving reviews I saw here.

Unfortunatly, I have to say I made a wrong decision. They really lack international moving experience, especially for China. They did an ok job putting my stuff in a container in the US. but that's about it. Everything else was left to me and my wife to deal with. I have to deal with their partner company in China, who they have no control with. And we jumped through all kinds of hoops and still end up paying more than $1500 for their partner company's service. Our stuff were sitting on the port for more than 45 days, and all they tell us is that they have no control of what's going on. My words to them are: if you don't know what you are doing, then stop doing international moving business, or at least stop charging a premium price and pretend to be an expert.

I don't know how they are doing in other countries. but at least, if you are looking for moving help to China, my advice is: 'don't use Flatrate'.

GREAT EXPERIENCE- Fast, Flexible and Reliable!. I've moved several times over the last 10 years, and have used different moving companies. Flatrate has been, by far, the best experience. I worked with Mark Soules, who immediately made me feel comfortable that the move was in the right hands. He knew exactly what I needed, and followed up to ensure that everything was on track! I even needed to move the start time of my move to a time that typically does not get booked - and Mark made that completely painless!

The moving team came right on time, and were extremely professional. They were polite and did not complain or make gratuitous comments or noises (yes, I've seen that happen before!) They were also very thoughtful in the placement of boxes and items - careful not to put anything against the walls and what rooms items were to go into.

On top of all of this-- there was no haggling with prices - everything is included as long as you're upfront. There is even some flexibility if you don't know the exact number of boxes or items you have. The price did not change even though I had a few more boxes that originally anticipated.

The entire process was very professional and pleasant.

I would absolutely use flatrate again!!! and recommend anyone and everyone to use them!
