Trellis means flowers in greek. Any last name that ends with "is" is greek for a fact of knowledge. Great food. Never too corwded, lots of seeing. Best greek food in NYC other than the Uncle Georges in Queens nearby. Movie stars sometimes come from the area, the rich area, like Al Lewis (grandpa frm the munsters) came before he died in February of 2006. The only downside is that I saw a ratttt in the bathroom downstairs in the basement. This place is on a nice small quiet mainly residential island sandwiched inbetween manhattan and queens, but it has a manhattan zip code and even has their own police department, there are great views of the water front for biking and boating and views of the bridges and the entire manhattan skyline, especially spectacular at sunset. There are village like stores near by. I never understood why it is very dim in Trellis, at night they can use more lights. It gets very dark, there at night.
