“Their work is OK, but their service is the worst I have EVER experienced.”
“Not a bad haul for one day's worth of work.”
Fred Smith Plumbing didn't show up for an appointment or call THREE TIMES in the past two weeks. I was a sucker and let them keep rescheduling, but they still didn't show and didn't have the courtesy to call. I had to call them when they didn't show every time!
good. I called them when my heater went out and I had another HVAC company tell me that I needed a new unit. Not only did I not need a new unit, but they came out and fixed it within 45 minutes! Great service and I will continue to call them if I run into any more problems!!
DO NOT USE-THEY OVER CHARGE CHECK , YOUR BILL. They are a horrible company- They came late over charged me for time they were not there - I called them they never returned phone calls.
NEVER AGAIN. I made a mistake when I relied on (fake) good reviews and hired this company. They sent a non-licensed plumber at a plumber's rate, and he overcharged me for his time (he lied about the time he started and the amount of time that he worked) and overcharged me for parts (by HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS). I will not even allow these people to come and finish the job. FRED SMITH PLUMBING completely ripped me off.
They came out to do a job and there were many "issues." I will post a review after they resolve them.
In the meanwhile, I have discovered something very interesting about the 5 star reviews for Fred Smith on this site and Google reviews. If you click on a reviewer, you can see their other reviews. It is amazing to me to see how many of the people who give Fred Smith "5 stars" here and on google also give "5 stars" to the same other companies - like Telman's auto and Madame Tousette's dry cleaners (which happens to be in Long Island City). Also, many of these reviewers rate 4 or 5 dentists, auto shops or vet clincis as "5 stars" sometimes in the same week or even the same day! Who sees 4 dentists in one day? Week? YEAR? Who uses four different animal hospitals in a week? How many times did you have to bring your car in for repair/ new tires/ oil change to a different auto place - THIS WEEK? How can a website publish these reviews, potentially bringing more business to a company which has fraudulent "5 star reviews? I wonder if goggle or city search has been sued yet after a user has relied on one of these obviously faked reviews and then gets scammed by the company?
