Great Takeout Always Fresh
by jc627jm at Citysearch
For take-out lunch, in the neighborhood, the food is always fresh, interesting combinations like eggplant with mozzarella fried and without bread, healthy, no heavy sauces, and quite a good variety of main courses and side dishes. The salads are perfect, not too big with salmon or grilled chicken or greek - all very tastey. Bakery is delicious with slices of angel food cake, drizzled with chocolate, plum cake, apple crumble, oatmeal cookies and always the usual muffins, at least 5 varieties and scones, at least 4 varieties. Prices are high but worth the money.
- Pros: Quality, Freshness, Selection - Thumbs Up
- Cons: Pricey
Best Brunch I've had in new york (better than 5 Points)
by jgladysz5782 at Citysearch
I've only had lunch and brunch here a few times, but it easily is my favorite. The surroundings and service are only so so, the menu is small (no booze) but the French toast is incredible. It is quite simply the best french toast I have ever had. I enjoyed the burger and breakfast buritto too, but the French Toast is the reason to go to Yura. It also is very reasonable for brunch--my girlfriend and I ate for under $30.
- Pros: BRUNCH AND LUNCH
- Cons: it is only a "cute" spot for a tasty bite
Pedestrian Bakery
by bhughes96 at Citysearch
...they used to sell heavenly Italian brioches, but they stopped making them and now their selection is limited to muffins and scones. I can no longer recommend a visit to the bakery...unless you like overpaying for pedestrian baked goods.
They have a selection of prepared foods, but seriously over-priced, and tiny portions. I can recommend the breakfast sandwiches, they are great quality and only moderately overpriced. Since this is the only bakery for blocks they get away with charging $3.50 for a croissant!
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Very, very expensive, mediocre quality, poor selection, they run out of everything by 11:00 am
Save your money

My girlfriend and I went here for brunch, and every aspect of the experience was a disappointment. The portions are small and overpriced, and I have had bigger shots of whiskey than the glass of orange juice I was given. The waiter never came back to check on us or refill coffee, he got one of the orders wrong, and we both left wondering what we were going to eat when we got home. Plus the seating is so cramped that we had no choice but to learn all about a couple next to us who had just met through an online dating service. If you're trying to impress a date, take them somewhere else.
- Cons: overpriced, cramped, poor service
Great for Lunch
by jesuisfier at Citysearch
Wife and I had roast beef sandwiches at Yura one afternoon. It's served cold with carmelized onions atop, with mashed potatoes on the side and it's the best darn thing this side of the Hudson.
I should also note their pastries and cakes are all fantastic.
Bon appetit!
