Waste of money.
The appetizer we ordered was tiny, but good, unfortunately it was the only thing, other then the chips and salsa that was good. His meal was luke warm, soggy, flavorless, and was obviously left out waiting for the waitress to bring it out, and my ribs were reheated, cold in the middle and extremely dry. I will never eat there again.

Adobe Blues is a great place for adults to dine.
I've been to Adobe Blues for a dozen lunches and maybe half as many dinners. The atmosphere has always been just right. For this Saturday night another couple came with us to enjoy a celebratory dinner. We had to wait about 30 minutes just long enough to get mini brew beers and 2 glasses of wine at the bar and take a seat near a small table with bar stools by the window. The selection of beers is seeming infinite and prices were much better then the City were we often dine. The wait was pleasant as I viewed the mature and happy group of dinners and the 5 couples waiting before us. We were seated while we forgot how long we were waiting engrossed in social banter. The waitress was prompt, courteous and attentive. The live music was pleasant occasionally a bit too loud. My Steak Abilene was excellent and my wife enjoyed her Drunken Mexican Shrimp. The other couple were also pleased with their selections. I can't recall the desert but it was fine as well. I would come again sooner then the last time and can recommend Adobe Blues with no reservations. By the way they take no reservations.

One of my two favorites on Staten Island.
I have been going to Adobes since I was 17. I am now almost 25 and am still in love with this place! Both the food and the atmosphere seem authentic Tex-Mex and are great. The beer list is absolutely incredible, definitely the BEST on Staten Island and one of the best in all of NYC. Their sangria is really good too, though. I used to get the Pecos chicken all the time when I was younger, but now I've probably had nearly everything on the menu. Their rice is really unique - it looks the same as other Tex-Mex places, but it has this faint taste of honey that makes it better than others. They cook the Abilene Steak to perfection - seriously. There might be a wait when you get there, but it's definitely worth it. The service is also really efficient.

Best Mexican I've ever Had!.
My boyfriend took my to Adobe Blues for the first time about 4 years ago. The place is amazing. Every time I go there, I try and try something different.. and every time it is amazing. The waitresses/waiters are always great and cater to your every need. The beer list is ridiculous, if you are looking to try new things, definitely go here.

Who's got the blues?.
My last visit to Adobe, turned my previous feeling of "like" for the restaurant, to "LOVE."
I like the beer selection, the service, and the food. I like the live music, but it can be too loud to talk over.
I LOVE the salads.
I don't have a lot of options, as a vegetarian -- but I bet they would make changes to accommodate. Generally I'm satisfied with whatever dish I have, so long as I add guacamole.
But the last time I was there: the FIRE-ROASTED VEGETABLE ROLL Special was so incrediblly delicious, that although I was full before even entering the restaurant, expecting to take 75% of my meal home in a doggy bag-- I couldn't help myself but to devour every last piece!
And the french fries -- they're pretty excellent, too!
If they made that Special a regular dish -- I'd go there much more often.

blues, brews and mexican foods!.
I went here one night with my boyfriend and another couple for some drinks and was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the extensive beer/microbrew menu, the best I've seen on SI. The atmosphere was great, very southwest in feeling (but not artifical, like at a chain restaurant), which again, is a departure from the typical restaurants on SI. That night there was live music, a young guy on guitar playing, you guessed it, BLUES. The entire experience made me nostalgic for my college days in Colorado. Can't wait to go back and actually eat some of the yummy Mexican food! The name says it all!

Best for Mexican.
The is a wonderful haven for good food for an Island that is inudated with Italian Food resturants. I recommended the whole menu to anyone who likes mexican and can not stand the chain mexican resturants.
You will love it.
